I understand completely. Unfortunately, that's what happens when we are dealing with humans. They will act that way, no matter what the church.
Sometimes it's on major doctrinal matters that range across the whole denomination and sometimes it can be on bitter battles within the congregation. The most you can do is to carefully look into the status of every church in your locale that you might consider joining. Please do check back with us and let us know how things have progressed for you.
Well, put your mind at ease! I don't know of any Christian denomination which teaches that only people from their own denomination go to heaven. To teach such a thing would be cultish in the extreme.
bless you too, i say "yes" to not being the judge of who goes to heaven if that is what you are saying.
....but no church to go too. A couple of my friends are christians and i fellowship with them but i'm looking to expand. I would like a non-denominational church but don't know what to look for and expect? any suggestions?
also this is my first post and thanks for listening!!!!
Blessings to you Trust!
Neither Jesus or any of His disciples seeked to join a church. If you are led by Christ you ARE the church. I guess it depends on what you mean by wanting to expand? You don't know what to look for you say... then why look? What is driving you to join a "church"? The true disciples of Jesus meet one with another day by day, house to house and are led by the Spirit of Christ. If you are seeking truth, don't go to any church but open your Bible, read it and then pray to Jesus to reveal meaning by His Holy Spirit. You will be astounded in what happens to you then! But if you are looking to mingle socially, any church can offer that.
Blessings!
catholics and mormons do and I think protestants don't like catholics going to heaven.
What a strange statement! I hope catholics go to heaven and they will if they are washed in the blood of Jesus Christ, trusting him as their as ther savior. Any true christian and certainly God wants all to repent and make heaven their home.
I am a protestant non-denominational christian.

I guess i was thinking of the things i seen about ireland and what someone told me about what protestant means they said it meant protest what catholics believe. God bless you.

Well, that isn't where the word comes from, but I think the bigger point is the strange claim that Protestants don't like Catholics to be in heaven. Did your friend tell you that also, because it certainly is nothing I've ever heard voiced before by any Protestant. I'm sure that this is what Miss Elly was getting at.

I'm not saying i'm right about this, but what is your definition of Potestant or anyone else that wants to respond? God Bless.
oh yeah and the guy wasn't my friend either and maybe to help i grew up catholic. God bless.
I don't think Protestant is the Church that Jesus Christ marries in the end is all i'm saying and i want to be part of that Church and i'm trying to follow it and be apart of it. And i really do think the end of the world is soon. God bless.
update-i talked to one of my friends and he said one of his old friends(who was really close to God), preaches at a non-denominational church close to where i live. I was going to check(planning) out a wedsday service and see how it goes. God bless.
