As long as there not from embryonic stem cells, its ok. Any deliberate destruction of embryos or fetuses is sin. Creating them and freezing them is also a sin. As far as im concerned embryonic stemcells are useless and quite dangerous. They have never yielded any scientific medical breakthrough but have morphed into cancerous entities. Its just that the mad scientists dont want to slaughter their cash cow.
yeah, I heard that anything can be used except for that which destroys human life.

Well, here is one for you. I was recently approached by mail to have my DNA for some research. This is through my medical care provider. I at first had answered questionaires about family health records, etc. Then they wanted me to come in so they could have the DNA. I was uncertain, and asked my priest about this, since I was feeling very apprehensive about it. He said I may very well be worried for a good reason, and if I didn't feel right about it, to not go through with it. Once a person's DNA is out there, maybe there is no way of knowing what they will eventually do with it, although there is supposedly promises now of only using it for research. How do we actually know this, though?
I'm sure there are people that say there is nothing to worry about, but I still don't want to give up my DNA for unknown types of research, and possible use for clonings, or genetically modified things, later on.
Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven.
What everyone said. And just from a scientific perspective, skin, adult, and umbilical cord stem cells have made great strides in the medical field. Good results I've read and heard, where there have been no proven good results from using embryos.

Embryonic stem cell research is gravely evil. The creation of those embryos is also a grave evil which does not get mentioned much.
Other forms of stem cell research are usually good, they are at least not inherently problematic like embryonic stem cell research. You'd have to get into specifics to comment directly, because any sort of research can be research into nefarious ends. I mean, if they were researching the use of stem cells in creating a race of atomic supermen who would rule the world, that's obviously evil.
