Who is happy?

Dear Roy and Susy ! My heart weighs heavy for You and Your families I am trusting the Lord as You folk are that He will offer His strength in Our times of weakness and that through Him We will see His Glory in it all I pray the the Lord projects His light brightly in Your lives and encourage You in your trials Lets Give all the Glory to God in his infinite mercy and compassion He won't put You through more than either of You could bear....Dave

Please do not have a heavy heart for me. God has blessed me immensely. Take for example my son who has cerebral palsy. The original diagnosis was that he would never walk. Initially I felt very depressed. But a very wise woman from my church reminded me that God is the ultimate physician and that I need to trust in Him. She reminded me to pray daily for him and we also taught him to pray about it. Each night he would pray "Dear Jesus, help me with my legs". Well flashforward we got our own little personal miracle and my child not only walks, but he walk fairly well (with splints), yes you can tell his gait is off, but still he walks and can run a little too! While we did thousands of hours of therapy (we literally had 9 therapists a week between both boys), and we went to countless doctors appoints, my son learned maybe the most valuable lesson he could ever learn in his life - God answers prayers!!!! At my son's young age, he knows that God heard his prayer, he answered it, and he knows the reason he walks today is only by the grace of God. Talk about God using a terrible situation as a blessing!

We always appreciate prayers and continue to pray for complete healing of both boys, which I believe with all my heart is a prayer that God will answer one day, I have no doubts!

Roy, you've been really placed on my heart and I will continue to pray for you and your family daily as I know God has great things planned that will come from the challenges you and your family face.

Thank you so much on behalf of myself and family. Your prayers are precious to me.

We have a son in the Army who is scheduled to be shipped to Afghanistan in January. He was recently married a year ago to a wonderful young woman and they just lost a child (miscarriage) about two months ago. He so much wants to be a father and she a mother.

Anyway we all got together at Chilis, not the whole six kids in the family; but the oldest son thats in the Army and his wife, my youngest son and his girlfriend, my oldest daughter and my second son, plus my wife and I.

What a crowd we were. I think we terrified the waiter with all the foolishness and comedy. We had a good time though, but it was sad to see him and his wife leave. I not sure how long before we get to see them again. I am concerned too for the oldest son and I hope he does not have to go to Afghanistan.

There are things going on in my life that are certainly a challenge.

But I am HAPPY because i know God will be with me through it all.

I am HAPPY that I have wonderful husband and that we have the strenght to continiously work on our relationship.

I am HAPPY because I have a wonderful family.

I am HAPPY that my profession gives me the change to help others and that I sometimes can make a person's day.

And...I am HAPPY that I can post all evening on CF and that I do not have to go out tonight because it is horrible weather!!!

Horrible weather here in East Texas too, but I have lived in your part of the World so I know what you mean. As a child I lived in Scotland for three years as two in England.

I would love to over there now in my old stomping grounds in Prestwick.

I've been writing Christian essays and messages for about 30 years since after I was saved. That is my joy in this life...being able to put down in words what the Holy Spirit has revealed to me in His Word.
