So it seems that even the creationists have no idea what the benifits of creationism are, I thought I asked a very simple question but I obviously forgot to take one thing into consideration, creationists only ask questions they never ever answer them.
Well if you teach your child to value faith over fact it's likely they'll be a willing pawn in the business of religion. Stunting their critical faculties in this way will eliminate their need to ask any of the difficult questions, and make uncomfortable truths incredibly easy to ignore. They won't have to get an extensive/expensive education, relying instead on information from authority or just believing whatever they wish to be true.
This will make their life a whole lot easier.

But it is also true that, though sound argument and a reasonable appreciation of the available evidence may happen sometimes to lead to false conclusions, no man who is indifferent to argument and evidence can claim to be concerned for truth...It is also true that to tolerate contradiction is similarly to be indifferent to truth. For the person who, whether directly or by implication, knowingly both asserts and denies one and the same proposition, shows by that behaviour that he does not care whether he asserts what is false, and not true, or whether he denies what is true, and not false.

Why is it that some Christians feel the need to hide every one of their answers in some kind of code or cryptic message. Why can't you just answer the question plainly and outright?
They love the Matrix, particularly the Oracle character, where entire arguments can be inferred purely from subtext alone.
I also tend to think of premillenialists as LARPers at heart.

His chances of accepting evolution later in life will be mitigated --- qv please: .No.
Thank you for the straightforward answer. Though I don't see denying evolution as a benefit (and I would suppose that many others on this list, Christians included, would agree with me), at least you came right out and said what you meant. Others participating in this thread could learn from you... just hopefully not too much.

OK, so you say that creationism isn't necessary for salvation, yet it is a benefit because it would prevent the child from accepting evolution later. Why is that a benefit, considering you and most creationists accept that populations of organisms do indeed evolve?

I made my answer perfectly clear. Typically the answer is not accepted because its not the answer you wanted to hear.
Your response seems to be "no," yet for some reason you don't want to make it clear. "No" or "Yes" or "Maybe" or "I Don't Know," would be a clear response. Frankly I would accept whatever response you gave, since it really is just a matter of opinion, afterall.
