Some of the most extravagant words in the Song of Songs are in the 4th chapter, of which this song sings of so I thought I would include a few more for you to fall in ravished love with:
Sgs 4:9 You have captivated my heart, my sister, my bride; you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace.
Sgs 4:10 How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much better is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your oils than any spice!
Sgs 4:11 Your lips drip nectar, my bride; honey and milk are under your tongue; the fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon.
Sgs 4:12 A garden locked is my sister, my bride, a spring locked, a fountain sealed.
This is beautiful and thanks Kisstheson for sharing this video.

Lovely videos, lovely scriptures, lovely poem, and Stormdancer, I loved your story! I want to hear more of it! I wonder what job the narrator has in heaven that she loves so much.
I was thinking tonight about C.S. Lewis. He always wanted to be a poet, and epic poet, and although he did write a lot of poetry, that's not what he's known for. I wonder if he spends a lot of time in Heaven writing poetry. Then I thought, but others would probably like to read more of his prose. Well, what is Heaven? Is it a place where we all get what we want, or where we continue to do for others? It got me to thinking. Above all things, I want to please the Lord, and I know He wants what is best for everyone, not just for me. It's worth some thinking.
The poem about love's price reminded me of another poem that I wrote in high school that I'm sure I haven't shared here. That poem is especially appropriate considering the subject of the paper I'm working on. The paper is almost done, but I'm disappointed that one of its main points is weak and I don't know how to strengthen it. It is due Friday morning, and if I add anything that needs notes, I have to go through the laborious process of changing the numbers of all the other notes so that they will all be in proper order. Even with a computer program, it's time consuming and sometimes glitches.
Would appreciate your prayers about my paper, and my history reading that is behind schedule (I feel guilty fellowshipping here when I could be reading history!)
Jonathan, I feel really bad about your exams, and I send up a prayer for God to comfort you and help you with your schoolwork.
Now I'll check through my poems and see if I have the one I mentioned.
Well, the poem is in my file, but I can't paste anything in Firefox, so I have to use Internet Explorer, and that's not working right. So I pray this works.Although this doesn't mention Jesus, I believe I was "in his heart" when I wrote it. I was inspired by the TV series, "Roots".Slaveby Robin LayneLight laughter breaks upon the lips,Covers up the pain,Years of longing, ages of unrestGone byBut never lost.Strong hands yield more years of bondage and fear,Young body grows old reaping food for another,Emotion the rich man will never know. The clank of chains is just beyond hearing,A free spirit screams with the lash of a whip.Only the spirit is brokenEvery day.Shall I be comforted with what I have?I’d rather be friends with the darknessFor none is more a slave than heIn the chains of a numb heartVacant of feeling,Of knowing,Of understanding.I hear the screams and shrink in sorrow,I know the pain and soak in tears.Comfort me notFor I would rather be freeTo know, to feel, to hurt,To be the slaveSo I may learn to love.Published in The Phoenix, 1977 (?) and Enlarging the Tent: Poetry and Prose by Robin Layne 2000.(Wow, it all came out bunched together without line breaks. I just added them by hand. Let's see if it works. I have Internet Explorer. I don't know why Firefox won't let me cut and paste things.)

here we can see the Beloved overflowing with gratitude for the love gifts of worship the Bride lavishes upon Him! imagine that Jesus thinks our love is BETTER than wine and compares the oil of devotion to somthing more fragrant than any spice! How much does He appreciate that affection poured out upon His head once crowned with thorns! This should inspire our worship of Him.
How is it that our mouth is often, sad to say, filled with gossip and complaining and yet Jesus says our lips drip nectar and honey and milk are under our tongue? He took that bitterness when He drank the sour wine offered to Him on the cross. He took the vinegar from our mouth and replaced it with His own sweet speech. doesn't the gospel of Luke say that when Jesus was speaking in the synagogue the people marveled at the gracious way He spoke? So Jesus tastes of Himself within us when He kisses us. He loves that which is Himself in us! He has given us His righteousness and holiness. We are born again in His image. That's why Jesus can adore what He sees in us. He sees the finsihed product!
Oh and can you imagine our dear savior holding us close to His bosom and breathing in our fragrance? He inhales deeply, "mmmm...delicious! what shall I compare her to?"
precious thoughts...precious words like arrows of love shot into the heart of His Bride!
Robin that poem was stunning as always. I certainly can see traces of Jesus in it.
I know the Lord will help you finish whatever you need to do so hit the books dear sister! we are all behind you!
praisehimalleluia...It's refreshing to read about your love for Jesus. I hope you share with us more often. you add to the variety and colors in the garden of the Lord!
