Wow!!!!!!! Chris Bot is back.

The lips of the righteous know what is fitting, but the mouth of
the wicked only what is perverse.
-- Proverbs 10:32

How many times have you said just the "wrong" thing? Iit
is more often than we would like to recall. Jesus' words on this
topic are indeed convicting to me: "Out of the abundance of the
heart does the mouth speak." In other words, poor words and bad
timing in our speech are more issues of our heart than issues of
social skills and decorum. Let's ask God to purify, mend, and
re-focus our heart on his will and passions.

For they shall rest "
The servants of God shall rest after death. While their mortal part reposes in the grave, their spirit rests in the embrace of their Lord.
We are taught to look on the present life as the season of trouble and exertion. The remembrance of what life is may keep us from idolizing presen comforts, from making a god of this world.

The word " rest " applied to the future destination of the believer, also teaches us to conceive of the life that precedes it, as one of labor.
We are now called to the labor of duty, to improve the spring-time of life, by sowing to our selves righteousness that we may reap in mercy,

Now we are called to labor of self-denial, and the labor of watchfulness.
Amidst the labors and cares of life, let it be our aim to secure, through the Saviour, this place of rest for ourselves.

"QUIETING THOUGHTS"
It is a mark of man's greatness, that he can go out and commune with nature, some commune with the great minds of the past and some with the present. There is no ending to whom you can commune with. But the grandest of them all is to commune with God.

Early morning is considered by most the best time to commune with God, before the daily chores begin.
In the evening is also a good time. Then we have rest; and we can retire from the stress and turmoil of the world, and in secrecy of our hearts commune with God. Here are some quieting thoughts for a time of trouble.
God rules over all. God is love. His love is holy, just, and good. It is well with all those who do his will. There may be clouds and darkness and there may be trouble; but God reigns, and his truth and mercy are spread out as wings, under which we can always find refuge.

We can look back. It is good to look back and remember God's loving-kindness. What he has done for us is not a cause of thankfulness; but of hope.
His acts as well as his promises does not change. Nothing eludes his eye, nothing can surprise his wisdom or baffle his powers.
There are times when he seems not to hear, but this is our infirmity.
The throne of grace stands ever accessible. If we ask we shall receive. We may be cast off and dishonored by men, but God will never forsake those who trust in him.

The future of the wicked is dark, but the future of the righteous is bright as the heavens shiny with countless stars.
Whatever happens!
Let us hold fast to God.

ARE BROTHERS"
All believers are brethren in the body of Christ. What ever their denomination.
Don't hold your faith with respect of persons. If you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ and another person belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ, he is your brother.
If a sinner comes into your presence or you otherwise come into contact with him, "remember" he is a human being for whom Christ died. He stands at the foot of the cross just as you stand at the foot of the cross.

The Greatest Blessing
Psalm 32:1-2 Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven,
Whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the man whose in the Lord
does not count against him
And in whose spirit is no deceit

Lets imagine you are being given the opportunityto have everything you want for the rest of your life. All you have to do is snap your fingers and see your wishes granted. But also lets imagine there is one catch, in return, you must forfeit God's forgiveness of just one of your sins. Would you take the offer?

Not if you were wise. Because if we did not have salvation, the forgiveness of sins, and the eternal life it brings, there would be no gift or blessing that could be of any real value. We tend to put a lot of things on our "wish list," convincing ourselves that if we just had that certain something, or if that certain circumstance changed, or if that certain thing would just happen then we would be satisfied.

But the truth is, if we know Jesus, we already have the greatest blessing we could ever receive. Our sins have been punished on the cross, and God will never hold us responsible for them. Even though our sins were innumerable, [more than the hairs on my head, and I have a full head of hair], "as Psalm 40 describes them, when we stand before Christ, our sins will number zero.

Even though our hearts were deceitful and above all things wicked, we shall stand before Him clothed in the spotless garments of the redeemed.
Oh! what a glorious thought, my sin is not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Oh, my soul!

We are not partially forgiven, but completely forgiven. Our sin debt has not been decreased, but cancelled.

Truly that is the greatest blessing. That's why throughout the ages more songs than you can count have been written of the wonders of God's grace and mercy and the miracle of His salvation
Millionaires don't write ballads in praise of the joy their money brings. But even men in utter proverty can cry out in irrepressible joy at the knowledge that God has forgiven them of their every transgression.
"Because the sinless Savior died, my soul is counted free, for God the just is satiafied, to look on Him and pardon me."

If one sin remained unwashed by Christ's blood, we would be eternally doomed. But every wrong thing we have ever done, said, or thought has been erased by the sacrifice of Christ on Calvary.
Brothers and sisters, we can rejoice for we already have the most wonderful thing anyone could ever receive.

Do not with hold your rejoicing until the temporal things of this life improve for you, rejoice now, and rejoice forever.
If you have the Son of God and the life He brings, then nothing more do you need to have reason to praise Him.

There are many people today who talk about the love of God, but they are total strangers to God of love.
It is reduced to a mere sentiment patterned after human emotion.
Our thoughts need to be formed and regulated by what is revealed in Holy Scripture.
There is an urgent need for this.

Why is there little love for God in these professing Christians?
One reason for this is hearts are seldom occupied with his love. The better we are acquainted with his love, its character, fullness, and blessedness, then our hearts will be drawn to him in love.

The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you because you were in number than any people, for you were the fewest of all people, but because the Lord loved you. ( Deut.7:7-8 )

God has loved his people from eternity and therefore there is nothing about us which causes God to love us. He loves because of his grace and devine purpose. (11 Timothy 1:9 )
