The most important thing about our life and witness is removing the spotlight from ourselves and putting it on Jesus. The message, not the messenger, is what's important.
It is not our own recognition or place of honor but the health and the growth of others in Jesus that's primary. Our task is to simply be a voice.

Our ministry, our gifts, our being used by God is not meant for our significance or identity.
John recognized that his role was to simply point people to Jesus. He knew that he must decrease so that Jesus would increase. What a model of humility for us to follow! We must strive to be "assist leaders," not high scorers.

People should not be drawn to us, but to the Jesus in us. We can only pray that we would be as single-minded as John in pointing people to Jesus, that, rather than being jealous of others, we would delight in people being raised up around us to be used by God.

God says
He intends to reward the dilgent man.
You remember that the Lord Jesus said, that in eternity His comendation would be ... Well done, thou good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:21)
His commendation will not be based on the amount work you have done, or the number of people to whom you have witnessed, or how hard you have worked, but on how faithful you have been to the task He has given you.
He may have given you the task of being a mother to a little one in the home.
Moses mother was faithful in that way, and her name is recorded in the Word of God.
The reward will be for faithfulness

I believe that as human beings this is one of our hardest lessons. Have you ever taken a walk with a two year old?
Maybe next to a busy street where the traffic makes it necessary to hold his hand?

You point out to him the pretty gardens you are walking past; the beautiful flowers, the scampering squirrel, the pretty song bird; but he's not interested. You see, he's too busy trying to pry free from your hold. He can't stand holding your hand. He's a big boy now.

He wants to walk free--on his own. Instead of clinging to our Father's hand, we have this tendency to take off on our own wobbly two feet. There are so many charming things that take our attention from Him.
Sometimes we don't like the restrictions that holding His hand puts on our life. Sometimes some of those Bible principles cramp our style.

Sometimes we let the cares of this world pull us away from Him, and instead of holding tighter to His hand, we let go. And inevitably we fall down and hurt ourselves and then we sink into discouragement and we look to God and we say "Father, what's this all about? You know I love you and I don't want to disappoint you. How could You let this happen to me?"
And He looks at us sadly and says "Child, you let go of My hand. You took off on your own. I am able to keep you from falling. Keep your hand in Mine."

Psalms 18:49
Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
God extends His mercy to us today.
At the close of this Psalm, it closes on a note of praise to God.
O, that there be praise in your mouth and mine, in your life and mine, in your heart and mine, toward our God!
Praise to God
" O give thanks 8nto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureh for ever.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so " (Psalms 107 1:2 )
If the redeemed do not say the Lord is good, nobody else in the world will.
The redeemed ought to say so.
We need some " say so " Christians

Have you ever had those times in your life when it seemed as if you had no place to turn except to God?
Notice what the Bible says about trials that the believer experience.

1 Peter 1:5-7 say that believers are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations; That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise.

Take notice especially the words "the trial of your faith"
To God it is very important that our faith be tested in order to prove its genuineness.
We are not tested to see whether or not we have faith, but to reveal to us that the faith we have in Christ Jesus is the answer to our need.

A DESCRIPTION OF HEAVEN
Heaven is a place of unspeakable glory where the elect of God live with one another in the immediate presence of God and of the Lamb and where they behold Him in all His glory face to face.
It is a place where the curse of sin and all of its effects have been removed forever from all who dwell there; they, being made joint heirs with Christ, inherit all things and live with unmixed joy in a state of perfect happiness incapable of being described or exaggerated forever and ever.

Heaven is called "the third heaven" (II Corinthians 12:2) and "the heaven of heavens" (Deuteronomy 10:14) to show its great eminency. By this it is distinguished from the sky above, the atmospheric heaven, which is also called heaven, and the starry heaven containing all the celestial orbs: the sun, the stars, the planets, and moons of the universe.

Think how vast and great are the starry heavens above. The heaven of heavens is far greater still.
Here we see only the objects of creation. There God's children will see, worship, and dwell with the God who created the universe and everything in it.

"Love one another"
But how can we obey and fulfil this greatest commandment?
Our struggle is not to love one another, or to love the unlovable;
not to pretend to 'feelings' we cannot manufacture, but to make God at home in your heart

Before we can love the world .. or even before we can really love each other, we must be aware that God loves us!
And when that reality begins to dawn on us, God's LOVE will transform us!
It is God's grace that makes His LOVE a reality!
The world looks at what we do; and it cannot help it.But the world does not care Why we do what we do-- but 'the WHY' is everything to the Christian.

We cannot all be acclaimed as great ''saints,'' or for that matter as great anything! But we all can love Jesus and seek to obey His word.
When Jesus Christ is truly ''at home'' in our hearts, it must follow as the day follows the night, that God's transforming LOVE will flow through us, and we can obey this 'impossible' commandment.

FELLOWSHIP
Fellowship is essential to the health of the body of Christ. There must be a balance of all the tasks,
and often evangelism is valued as the task of the church, and fellowship is seen as an option.
Fellowship is much, much more than parties and social times. It is God's love being expressed.
It is not "natural" or part of our culture to accept and be accepted, to forgive and be forgiven.
It is Christian!

It is not enough to turn from evil. We can clean the putrid
things out of our life, but if we do not actively pursue what is
good then a worse evil will rush into the void. (cf. Mat. 12:43-45)
Let's be a people eager to do good and with a passion to "wage

God reminds us that our words and the way we use our speech
greatly impact the quality of life we enjoy. Nothing cuts short a
vibrant life like evil speech and lies we tell. They set loose a
force of deception and damage that we cannot control. This
unleashed power not only damages those about whom and to whom we
speak, but they eventually boomerang and come back and bring their
deadly payload back into our own lives. Let's be people who speak
what is right, good, wholesome, holy, true, and a blessing. (Ephesians 4:20-5:12)
