I've been reading Harry Potter a lot, and I am wondering, is this classified as Witchcraft, which as a result, is a sin and is demonic?

Thanks guys. I've been hearing from my family, and some religious leaders that Harry Potter is witchcraft.
It's important to do two things:
1) Analyze everything for yourself. Don't take other people's word for it. Everyone views the world in a unique manner.
2) Don't take media too seriously, that includes music, movies, television, and even the news sometimes. Media is what it is. Movies, music, and television are meant to be entertaining. And the news, is often biased in one direction or another.
