No, we just don't engage in hyperspiritualized media paranoia. If you want those arguments to be taken seriously, back them up with Scripture and proper exegesis. I've been through enough of those debates over the last 5½ years to know there is no Scriptural support for 'spiritual conduit' claims like that. If there was, it would have been brought to light a long long time ago. And it doesn't differ any more than the church a few hundred years ago considering the pipe organ as the devil's instrument. There's no support whatsoever for it, other than people projecting their own personal displeasure with things onto God.

erm its fiction... nothin wrong with readin good fiction or even 'ok' fiction... i'm a big fantasy buff and belive me when i say there is no way readin fantasy is bad, unless you let it effect your beliefs in which case it can be bad... there have been religions founded on fantasy books, and there are definetly books out there you want to stear away from if you are weak in your faith.... but as far as i can tell you should be perfectly fine with HP
