It could be that A&E were not from earth at all, they could have been from another planet, there might have been dozens of them who made a forced landing on earth with no way to get off, they could easily have separated and gone in different directions to look for food fighting animals as they went, and setting up camps, the stories of Eden could have been how they saw earth as some kind of paradise.
Perhaps if I make up a longer story covering a lot more then write it down it might be found in a couple of hundred years and believed by people to be the way things happened in the begining? there are sure to be gullable people about even in the future because there always has and there always will be gullable people about.
lol i was thinking of scientists as your figurative gods, as many of you worship them (believing anything they say even though you have not proven it yourself in the lab).
HOWEVER, I guess Assyrian just gave the other side (literal) god of science, which WAS and in different covert ways STILL worshiped by many.
So, can we put that argument to rest, or do we have to supply more evidence for you? At the very least Assyrian gave you exactly what you wanted -- a name of a science god. I gave you the philosophical/spiritual aspect.
No disrespect, no ill will
I think you will find the modern worshippers of Hermes are the people into the esoteric occult side of things, not scientists. But the ancient pagan gods had every area of life covered if you want to argue people worship scientist instead of Hermes, then parents-to-be are worshipping fertility gods when they see an obstetrician or midwife, so are farmer tilling the land, cleaning your house is worshipping the goddess Hygeia, soldiers planning strategies are worshipping Mithras and when you type out your reply on the computer you are worshipping Sheshat goddess of writing.

The Bible calls the god that scientists worship:Notice in the context, that it is the same god that the Antichrist will worship in the end times.
really? well done AV, well done butchering the bible to make a weak jab at science.
funny that every other part of daniel 11 is talking about a war god, suddenly its talking about a god of science?
what world do you live in where the written words on a page stop having connections to each other?
is there no context in your world?

I was thinking more along the lines of Battlestar Galactica.
That would tie in Mitochondrial Eve.

How would you know? Afterall, gullible is not found in the dictionary.
