I'm not really a "part" of the Salvation Army because I'm not a soldier, but I have been attending a corps for about 3 years. I began going with my parents when we were looking for a place to go after the church we were going to merged with another church (the doctrines of the church they merged with weren't really what we believed). We had some friends who were going to Salvation Army, so we decided to go there. I've grow from being there, but honestly, I feel there is a lot wrong with the denomination. I'm not here to bash it though, I just think anyone considering joining should look into all aspects of the doctrine as well as the policies.
