Creation & EvolutionForum for the discussion of this important topic. This forum is open to non-believers. There is a Christians-only forum in the Christians-only section too.
This article roughly defines kind as the taxonomic term family. Which means if the biblical flood is true and the definition they provide is significantly accurate, that every species living today shares common ancestors with other species in the same taxonomic family. It's funny that creationists think that macro Evolution isn't possible over a period of millions of years, yet assert that all the species(6-9 million) of the earth descended from about 2,000(estimate from the article) animals about 4,500 years ago.

Yet, one of the creationist go to lines is "takes more faith to believe in ToE." To which I say, really?

I wonder where the author would put Tiktaalik, Darwinius, archaeopteryx and all other transitionals?

Probably not on the ark which is why they are extinct.

But they were still "created" after their "kinds."

Yes.
That's evolution at racing car pace.
Imagine it over 3-4 billion years. And YECs say "impossible".
I love that they're disregarding that a minuscule gene pool as a result of massive amounts of in-breeding would not only result in slower if non-existant evolution, but also death of a species (reference cheetah)

Not to mention the fact that at that pace certain animals like beetles would have new species with several derived characteristics basically from one generation to the next. Which puts creationists in sort of a bind because we don't see "adaption(Evolution)" happening that fast.

These are super animals we are talking about they are immune to the effects of inbreeding and they have over 9000 chromosomes....(Couldn't resist the >9000 reference)
