I would love it, if he would bring out some Godly songs. Either way i still like his music. I was told that people do not see Guy Sebastian as a Christian anymore and a lot of people think he has fallen away from God. |

I believe Guy sees himself as a Christian. Who are these "people" who don't see him that way? Anyway, he knows his own heart and so does God.
There is some Christian music from early in Guy's career. Also, on youtube you can find several songs you might like, especially from his performances with the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra. Guy has also said in several past interviews that he'd love to do an album of gospel music, so look out for that in the future. |

other brothers and sisters do not give good opinions about him that fame has seemed to have changed him and he is compromising. I know his walk is none of our business
I am looking froward to hearing him sing gospel music. I am also very addicted to his new song lol. and really like his other song called just as i am. |

I agree with esperanto. I still see guy as a christian. I personally have only heard maybe one or two people I know say fame has changed him. But i dont think it has at all. He is still the same person as he was before idol just more mature as a person and a more powerful singer.
btw i love his new song too!!!! its great |

Fame, by it's very nature will bring changes to a person's life but I have met Guy several times over the last six years and I don't see any signs of it changing him for the worse.
In spite of his success and fame he still has a humility of spirit about him and doesn't put on any airs or graces.
As MelissaParker said, he has matured and gained some worldly wisdom over the last few years (which is only natural) but I believe it is his relationship with God and the influence of the Christian friends and family he surrounds himself with that keep him firmly grounded and walking in the way that God leads him.
As for his music, he has contractual requirements to his record company to meet which influence the type of albums he can produce at the moment. And he is producing some excellent secular music!
I do believe that Guy has a special anointing on his life and that God wants to use him through his music, and if anyone is concerned that he might not fulfill the plans God has for him the best thing they can do is to support him in prayer. |

I do not know if he has wandered from his faith.. something that is so easy for any of us to do.. But I know he is very talented.. and I pray for him that he does a gospel album.. He needs our prayers.. the pressures on him from the world would be overwhelming..
You have to listen to this by Guy.. it is just awesome.. Miley Cyrus' big hit, "The Climb"

Guy Sebastian is a very talented man who has done well with his career, and I commend him for making many people's lives happy with his music. His new song "Like It Like That" is his best song so far as it sounds completely different to anything he's previously released.
Songs which are preachy and sanctimonius do not appeal to anybody bar a few hardcore religionists.

As far as I'm concerned, at this point in time, he is making a name for himself in the music business, none of the songs I have heard him sing show any disrespect to God. They are just not "Christian" songs. Does everything a Christian do have to be Christian? Should we only wear clothes made by Christians, and watch only Christian shows and movies?
Sure I would love to hear him release a worship album. I love listening to worship music, but figure that I can get that anytime. It's nice to see a wholesome person in the secular music industry doing well. I think that's great.

I prefer Stan Walker's version.
GS did great for himself during AI but he tends to over do the soulful drifts a little too much where it borders on the line of irritation quite similarly to Adam Lambert's screaming. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
