It's not even "too much Old Testament", in the Old Testament God is compassionate, shows mercy, is patient and long-suffering. Consider the lesson we learn from Jonah, or the word delivered to Ezekiel that God does not desire the death of the wicked, that God takes no pleasure or joy in the destruction of the wicked by desires that that the wicked repent and change their ways so they might live and have life. God has always been a merciful, compassionate, kind and patient God who has no desire for the destruction of the wicked, who has loving-kindness for the sinner and for the wicked person to change their ways and truly live and have life. -CryptoLutheran

Question... Is the United Church of Christ the same as the Church of Christ? Something tells me it is not...

Thanks Something told me when I saw the word "United"

I come from a so-called non-denominational also (Calvary Chapel) There are so many wonderful things about that denomination (and it is a denomination ).

But I am weary of the top-heaviness. I mean people in leadership, that I come to love, just disappear with no explantion to the congregation.

Does anyone know what kind-of worship the Church of Christ has? I know some don't use instruments...

I'm praying about trying one this Sunday. I never even considered them before until I saw this folder. I never knew about the restoration movement. But I have been praying about finding another church because I am not a Southern Baptist, either, no matter how much I tried

They, also have alot of wonderful things about them and they love the Lord, dearly... but...sigh...

Whoops...so sorry. I just saw the ask questions folder.
