Hey again!

Just a clarification for Amy....I'm sure that you husband did get better, but I doubt that it was secondary to the garlic. Garlic can be used effectively for high blood pressure and to lower cholesterol...but as far as I know has no anti-viral properties.
If you are looking for boosts to the immune system think Vitamin C and eccinacea...*S*

Yes, garlic does work. Go ahead and try it. I would stick to a couple crushed cloves a day until you feel better. Raw garlic is quite hot and can upset your stomach. My husband told me that it upset his stomach for about 10 minutes after he took it but after the initial discomfort his cold symptoms did start getting much better. He should've taken a couple more the next day and it probably would've helped a lot more but he didn't like the taste. Here is some info on the health benefits of garlic:

It's amazing how good garlic is for you! If I get a cold I'll take as many as 12 odourless garlic capsules a day. The cold quickly vanishes. I think the raw is better in cooking tho.
