Welcome to the CF Angels - refresher.

Welcome to the Christian Forums Angels team!

Here's a list of what the Welcoming Angels do each day. You don't have to do everything, just what you feel you can handle in the time you have. Some days you might welcome newbies and give birthday blessings, and other days you could hit the prayer request threads and the how-to’s. Just go wherever you feel led to help out.

Daily Angel duties:

Check in in the Angel Check in/out & Contacts thread for the current week. This is how we know you are working.

We need to make sure to cover the "those in need of prayer" thread as well as the Prayer Request threads. People in need of prayer need that encouragement, so let's start there. Stop by and check the threads daily - the members are usually linked, so visit the thread/profile and leave a message.

Daily stop by the "New members in need" thread, and visit the New Member Intros threads as well. Please take time to read their introduction - some new members truly are in need and searching when they arrive. Take the time to post a link to an area of the forum where they might get the support they need: addiction - post a recovery link, prayer support - post the prayer request, searching post - edification link, etc... If they're just saying “Hi, I'm new,” post a link based on their age/sex to a life stages forum. Please post more than just a graphic. Sign their Guestbook with a warm welcome from Christian Forums Angels (usually you are the first entry in a new member’s guestbook). Don't forget to send a PM with 1000 Blessings!

Be sure to check the day’s Birthdays, and bless them with a guestbook entry and blessings. Some angels give blessings based on the member’s age, and others give a set amount. (Please make sure the member is active before blessing! Keep an eye on their “last activity” date on their home page.)

Post in the Support area if you have time. Check the How do I? thread and post solutions and answers there.

I keep track of what I've done by keeping the notepad program open while I am working, and copying/pasting in the members names with details (welcome in newbie thread, signed visitor message, PM + blessings, happy birthday, prayer, etc.). When I’m done with my “shift” I Check out and paste my list into the current week’s contacts thread.

What are the Welcoming Angels duties?
- Daily check in threads for posters in need of Prayer, New Members, and Birthdays.
- Check the New Member Introduction forum to post greetings and bless new members.
- Check the Prayer Request forum to post prayers, and bless those in need of uplifting.
- Check the Support ”How do I?” forum to answer questions.
-Post the list of those members you’ve made contact with in the weekly contacts thread.

Again, you don't have to do them all - just where you feel led to bless.

Angels edit their signature line to reflect their Angel status. You can get graphics here: CF Angel Graphics - there is also a link to the Angels photobucket account in this thread. It is best to have your own photobucket account, and store the graphics you use there - It's free, but the bandwidth is limited on free accounts so that is why we ask you to start your own account. Some Angels include a link to the Angels Headquarters in their signature as well, so members who are interested in finding out more about us can visit us there.

We understand that real life is important and sometimes gets in the way… please let Chief know when you might be away from the forum via PM and by posting your time away here: Angel Time Away. Please remember that you have committed to 4 hours each week – 2 weeks of inactivity without notice could result in the loss of your Angel status, as discussed in the application.
