I know this is a random ministry. But is it possible to care too much to be involved in certain ministries? Example like can someone involved in outreach care too much or think about too much about those unsaved, can a elderly volunteer care too much for the elderly that they from them so often and think about it too much, can someone be involved or be in youth ministry and concerned or worry too much about the youth in the group that they pray for them often along with thinking about it often or just at times getting to the point of crying out to God for not only for you to grow in God and get a better relationship but also cry out to God for that same thing.
Is there a line somewhere that can be crossed,
Like can a nurse care about a patient too much that they take it home with them at night to their prayer room?
Thanks

Jesus died on the Christ for people who, sadly in the future far or near, still will not go to Him. And He would still intercede for them even now.
If we are to follow in His footsteps, we could love enough.
You can never love enough. |

God bless

If professional boundries cannot be maintained, and that can be tricky and a bit blurred in a church situation, then the person is better not in that particular ministry for the safety of themselves and the person they are caring for. |

Some people react to discipline and others to kindness. We do have some examples of what it is to care about people in scripture, but "love" is the word. God does simply tell us to "love our neighbor" and love is explained in 1 Cor. 13.
It's not about a set of rules. It's about being led by the law of the Spirit thru the knowledge contained in God's Word. The Holy Spirit will use that knowledge to guide us so listen to Him. You only need to give account to God one day. |

You can care too much if you start to care for people or ministries before you care for God. God is to be loved first and foremost then others. But technically as soon as you no longer care about God as much as something else you don't actually love the other things because God is love and we cannot truly love others unless our love for God motivates us to do so.
Also one should not worry but cast all cares on God.
