Erm, I'm pretty sure you CAN'T. Or is God not omniscient now? By definition...

Define that and he's no longer God. If we understand how he works, then he is no longer eternal. Dont put God in a box. You'll fail. Maybe you can but you can't hide for long :p
You cant hide anything from God for any period of time. He's omnipresent.
Yes, God can screw with your computer. Yes, God can fix your computer. He's done it at our church. He's done it with cars. He's done it with a lot of things.
But ultimately, a game is a game. Unless the game represents something more than a game for you, like a false idol or something that you wish to carry out in real life, then i would think that God has no problem with it at all as long as it doesnt become a huge part of your life.
Alternately, a group of warlocks could have cursed the video card and caused a demon to inhabit the GPU....
But im still going to go with it overheating. |

Oh boy....
It's called "The Problem of Evil."
Good luck with it, it's only been screwing with peoples' heads for the last 2000 years. |

Because we have free will.
And, uh, yes He can. He's everywhere at the same time. Eternal, omnipresent... 7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, [a] you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
That's what the Bible says. And i believe that the bible has it right. You cant hide from the Lord. Period. |

Sadly, I find Serenity's arguments sadly lacking, but I did save all the pages to my computer for plenty of laughs in the future.

Basically I'm a fan of the "Total War" game series. Don't know how many of you here are into them. But anyway, I've had Medieval II: Total war for a couple of years now and recently whenever I've played it and its in the battle scree or just finished a battle and returns to the campaign map, the computer shuts down automatically.
In short, WHY?
Oh please someone know why.
haven't bothered reading the responses. obvious things
bugs in the games install, (download revouninstaller and run advanced mode, clear everything it brings up including registery items, then re-install the game)
virus/spyware (run scan disk, defragment, update your virus and spyware scannners then re-boot into safe mode then scan.)
over heating, (open your computer if it's a desktop and check the fans are free from dust then add a small amount of lubrication to them) not so obvious
RAM (some times this could be showing you that your ram is failing, run a diagnostic program)
registery (get a registery cleaner, but be careful you can do serious damage so be prepared to re-install windows)
Hope this helps |

If he could watch everyone at the same time and see them being evil, he could do things to prevent them from being evil so they wouldn't have to go to hell. It would be the easiest way for him to win against the devil, so why doesn't he just do that?
Cabal, you don't seem like a very strong Christian. You need to go to church more. I talk with my pastor all the time and it gives me more faith!! |

Yup, that would be the "problem of evil." Cabal, you don't seem like a very strong Christian. You need to go to church more. I talk with my pastor all the time and it gives me more faith!!
Oh please, just because someone doesn't have a view of God so boxed in or so identical to everyone else doesn't mean they don't have strong faith.
I went to church more, and had other Christians repeatedly make my life worse, usually based on the kind of naivete you're showing here - so thanks, but no thanks. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
