I just returned from the TLIG biennial pilgrimage to Greece. We visited Athens, Patmos, Lesvos, Philippi, Veria and Meteora. We saw some awesome things - the monastery of St Stephen, St John's cave, the relics of St Thomas, the church of St Michael... Mass was said in every kind of Catholic and Orthodox tradition in many languages. I was a little skeptical at first but was impressed. 14 denominations took part, from about 60 countries, 800 people in all - and great people! The central theme of the movement is Christian unity, with one of the core aims, unifying the date of easter across the churches. The spirit of unity was tangible and quite uplifting. Judging by the fruits it seems all good. If the phenomenon is genuine revelation from God it deserves our attention, and it would be our duty to follow. Did any of you go? What did you think?
