Desparately need help - medium related

Could a spirit invade my body since I went to the medium/psychic and make me feel sick?

I went to a medium over the weekend. On the way home I was having a warm feeling and also a burning in my chest. Its wednesday and Im still having the sensations also Ive been feeling lightheaded sometimes and sick like.
Is there a chance one of the spirits entered me? Arent mediums suppose to send the spirits back?
Help? What do I do?

I cant even pray for forgiveness. Will God forgive me? I just felt like I needed to contact my Mom. I miss her so much.

I understand your concern. Sometimes we do things like this because we think it is fun. It sounds like you really were trying to contact your mother. Whether we do it for fun or for what we think is real - the result is the same.

Just remember if you are a Christian what is in you is greater than what is in the world. You are the one putting the guilt on yourself - you can ask forgiveness and Jesus is standing with open arms. We learn from our experiences.

I went to a so called physic in my teen years at a carnival - thinking it would be fun, she said something to me that stuck with me all these many years. Even though I know it is not real or the truth - it still comes back to haunt me at times.

Just repent of it and move on and just look at yourself in a mirror as God sees you, your slate will be clean - God will not be saying 'well look what you did - I'm going to punish you' - ask forgiveness and God will see it no more, so you need not put the guilt on yourself.

If you are a Christian, the enemy cannot harm you. These spirits are real and not one to mess around with, but they are not the spirit of your mother.

Some of the symptoms may be because you are putting such guilt on yourself. Move on put it behind you and just live in the Joy of the Lord.

God knew these kinds of spirits were harmful and that is why the Bible tells us to not do it. Just don't let anyone tell you that it is the spirit of your mother - they are familiar spirits and they are real.

You will be fine, just don't let the enemy put any thoughts in your head - you are not responsible for the thoughts unless you act on them, just cast them aside, put your hand in the hand of Jesus and let the Holy Spirit guide you, if you are thinking about doing anything that is not of God, that still small voice of the Holy Spirit will tap you on the shoulder (meaning a little tug at your spirit) and say no, this is not of God.

Turn it over to God - He is not beating up on you - you are beating up on yourself.
Just enjoy your walk knowing Jesus is with you always.

You need to stick to Scripture. For instance, Jesus says God forgives us our sins, and Jesus says to believe Him to find eternal life. And so on.

Mediums do not work. Christians can not be possessed, but they can be harassed and they can believe lies from the spirit world.

Mourn for your mom and trust God to have put her in a better place.

She is fine, you need to lean on God, not mediums or other such nonsense which is all a lie.

You're playing around with witchcraft and you're worried that you're having repercussions? Of course you are! You gave the evil one an opening. You need to turn to prayer. If you're worried that you are possessed- I have to tell you that the internet is the last place you should and the worst place you could turn to for advice. If you are worried enough over this possibility, we aren't the ones to turn to here. We should not be so arrogant as to assume that we have the answers here lest we mislead you should your suspicion turn out to actually be right. Some things are only solved via prayer and fasting- and the apostles even found this difficult!

Judging from your symptons, yes, a devil has gotten his claws into your body.

Help? What do I do?

Get hold of someone to help you get free from it. Being a Pentacostal, this shouldn't be hard. It can be very difficult to handle this on your own. Don't procrastinate. The syptoms will only get worse and you don't want to wait and find out what disease it is planning to hit you with.

Actually, He already has. All of your sin, past, present, and future were forgotten when Jesus was crucified. You do however, need to forgive yourself.

If you had contacted anything, it would have been a devil impersonating your mom. You'll see her again, but the occult isn't the way.

Possibly. And yes, you can pray for forgiveness. You can pray that God will forgive your sin and cast any spirits out, and break any chains that there might be, and because he is a God who saves, he will do it. Ask him in Jesus name.

Demons can't possess the body of a Christian. Do you think the Holy Spirit would let a demon move into His temple and live with Him?

However, God doesn't want you going to a psychic, and He doesn't want you trying to talk to the dead (necromancy). You have sinned twice and you need to ask God to forgive you of them and He will.

1 John 1:9 (Amplified Bible)

9) If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].

Then spend some time in worship and prayer to your Father and you should be fine.

I'm a born again believer, and I can tell you that when you disobey God, He will not listen to your prayers. You must confess your sins, and repent, turn to Him for forgiveness for reals.
Just this year I was disobedient to God, He had warned me not to go to a prayer house. I did anyways since I though it's "Christian" and it will be cool. THey were releasing spirits there, and one followed me home. The spirit stayed in my home for a week, and it's presence was behind me the whole time, and it's shadow lurking in my room. I was miserable and lost more than five pounds. It did not "possess" me. Actually I believe that you cannot be possessed if you are born again. However, I don't know everything about being suppressed. Since the Bible teaches that if you are born again the Holy Spirit lives in you. It did not go away until I realized by sin by disobeying God and repented, and cried out to Him for help. My sister was staying with me at that time, and sadly she felt the effects too. Every time we feel asleep the spirit will come and suppress me and my sister. And she had headaches for the whole time, and we did know why until we found the connection with the spirit. It was not until we repented that it went away. It's not that God does this, but however we as humans are sinners, and there are consequences to sin. By going there against God's will even though He had warned me already, I opened up door for those kind of things. And He took away His protective covering at the time, because I was too prideful to even acknowledge my fault.
So you should repent to God, and command those spirits to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. Only true believers can do this. Any born again believer would have the Armor of God that the Bible teaches in Ephesians 6. If you have problems, you must get help from your paster and elders.
You have sinned against God by going there, and have opened yourself up to attack. Have friends and family pray for you.

p.s. Now I don't believe that believers should be suppressed like that. WHen this was happening, I believed that they had a right to suppress us when we sinned. But I have asked God to take that away, and now it doesn't happen anymore. When you believe that the power of Jesus' blood is above all sin, and above all curses, spells, etc....non of those things can effect you.

First of all every born again Child of God has within him or her the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Tell me how can our Almighty God the Creator of Heaven and Earth be overcome by a demon and kicked out of a born again believers life where now a demon resides. Does that not make the devil more powerful than God? Also if the that person who was once the temple of the Holy Spirit and is now a temple of the devil where did the Holy Spirit go?

It never ceases to amaze me how we make the Holy Spirit powerless and feable to where He will just give up to the actions of the devil and let him have us.

I'm not one to believe that, not one bit. The God that I serve, IS GOD! No power on earth or beneath the earth or in the blue heavens above can subdue Him. They can and will attack me and wrestle with the Spirit of God within me, but they cannot posses my body as long as my God is with me.

All I have to do is speak the Name of Jesus and by the authority of His Name no devil in hell can prevail against me.

Phil 2:9-11 states "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

You my sister if you are a Child of God was given this authority thru the Name of Jesus. That unclean spirit is not within you but is in your presence causing you to feel ill and guilty. The bible says in James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."

If you don't have the faith within yourself then find those that are spiritfilled believers and have them pray with you and over you. So many christians today live defeated lives because they still deny the power of God and still live in the flesh.

Finally stay out of the fire if you don't want to get burned. Playing around with the forces of darkness is nothing to be taken lightly. That same faith that you placed in that mediums hands would have been better served if you would have went to a Child of God, pastor, teacher, deacon, or even a church member. They all posses the power of God and could have given you better results accompanied with His Grace, Mercy and Love.

You can have the victory just Speak His Name!
