No Creed But Christ - Restoration MovementThe forum for members of the restoration movement including Disciples of Christ, Church of Christ, and Independent Christian Churches.
Over the past many years I have been on a journey led by Jesus Christ. I started my actual journey when I was 17 and ½ when I died in an accident.
While I was in that place we call death, I attended a school. I learned a great deal at inner levels. And then I was sent back.
What I have learned since returning is very saddening to my heart. Over 90% of those who claim to follow Jesus, do not, they follow the edicts of a church doctrine which in most cases opposes the true words of Jesus.
This is one of the very reasons American is in such a state of decay and stands at the precipice of destruction.
Jesus did not come to create a Priest class or to build a physical church that would dictate the lives of all to such an extent that would all but annihilate the progress of the individual soul.
As a Minister it is my duty to feed the sheep, give them direction and let them go in that direction. To encourage their connection to Spirit, even if it means they come back and teach me and together we go up higher to follow Jesus. To follow someone is to arrive at the same destination.
But Jesus went further still, Matthew 5:42 is the most NOT repeated line in the bible, and an edict of Jesus Christ, to all of us. Yet we ignore it. We make excuses, we claim he did not mean it that way, yet he meant everything else exactly as he said it.
Churches started incorporating in the late 60’s so they could get their hands on free money. Yet the Constitution already protected their right and left them with free speech intact. By incorporating they signed a contract with the IRS and were left free speech from the pulpit muzzled and controlled by a board of directors. Which also denied them to follow Jesus. And lessened them as a Check and Balance against bad Government.
I went to God in prayer asking for help, He said go ask, I said I am asking Lord. Go Ask.
After many days of prayer I finally got the message and set out to ask. I chose churches and Christian non profits, after all I am a Minister, who better to help then other Spiritual leaders and God’s people.
I asked for them to share with their congregations, I told them my need. Everyone of them replied the same way, “No, we don’t help individuals.” I sent my request for help to over 1800 churches and non profits.
Over the years I have given several thousands of dollars to organizations and churches because I believed my money was actually helping people. So when I was and still am in need, I found that though they felt good about taking my money, they did not feel I was worthy to receive any back.
Jesus told us not to judge, yet every where you go someone is set above us to determine our worth. What horrible thing do you imagine would happen if we actually helped one another without the oversight of the Government? What if we actually did what Jesus said? We think about many what if’s that lead to a negative, but rarely consider what if, we did something totally different then we’ve been doing?
What if Drs just made us well and let us give what we could? What if those trade ins at the dealer ship were fixed up and given to those that needed but could not afford a car? What if we reduced rents so everyone could live in a house? What if we gave RV’s or trailers to some so they would have a home? What if we cared about each other , here and now? What if we helped each other before a disaster strikes?
There is no material object on the face of this earth you can take with you when you go. It all belongs to God, you are just using it. Many talk non attachment, but they are very attached. We talk, but do we do?
I find myself in a dire situation but know there is no human I can ask for help. We say “well I will pray for you.” Which really means I won’t help you.
How do you think God helps us? Through each other. When someone comes to me or crosses my path and needs money or things, or a prayer or a hug, I am there because God wants me to be His hands and feet and banker in this situation. I now only give to individuals, because when I give to any human on this earth, I am giving to the Spirit of God that dwelleth in them.
We are each others answered prayers. I had an opportunity once to purchase a most perfect violin. After my accident I had lost the memory of how to read music, I wanted to relearn and play again. Well the young man that I hired to teach me, could make that violin sing. I knew that was not my violin, but his. God had used me to get him what he could not afford for himself at the time.
This happens all the time. As my dad used to tell us, “If you are standing there and see a need, then you are supposed to be the one to fill it.” That is what Jesus told us, “Give to those that ask and those that seek to borrow turn them not away.” He did not quote Benjamin Franklin.
We can turn around those issues we face if we follow the words and example of Jesus. Not the beliefs of a church, but the words of the Master Himself. Who will join me and lets free the sheep we are also told to feed. (When Jesus fed the multitude, he did so before he taught them. Hungry people need food and shelter now, not in some far away heaven. If we tell them it will be better later, why bother caring about anyone now.) Our Faith is demonstrated by our giving, because it shows that we trust God will provide all we need and then some. Just as Jesus sent out His disciples the first time, without purse or script. He did not do this because he wanted them to live in poverty, He did this so they would know that their good was provided from God always. Everywhere they went, PEOPLE, were God’s hands and feet and gave them all they needed and more.
When we close our hearts and our pocket books and our doors, we slam the door in God’s face. This is the demonstration of faith in a material illusion.

I think it is a great testimony, and you are quite right. But this is the world we live in and it is far from perfect. The world you speak of, the inconsistencies, you see them because you are not not part of that world, that's all. Can't see the forest through the trees you know.. only from the outside looking in.. Within the 'institution' of religion are many many faithful people. The institution can bog us down but it also exists for a reason.. I haven't quite figured out what these days but still there it is... maybe just a stronghold, a good stronghold.. but any big organization is going to have a few creeps.
Make friends,,, and share with them, and ask from each other. Be each others' network. You have to be equally yoked.
works quite well for me
You know what also.. you need to keep on with 'Go ask' till you arrive at that place where 'ask' is answered. and that will be your place.
God sent me to 'school' too so it is interesting you mention that. Mine were dreams though. But school dreams, many. I did finally get from high school to college heh. then of course he showed me myself sleeping. hmmm... then at last.. I was like an eagle.. flying.. seriously.. one time.. I was in the cafeteria.. and all they had for lunch was mashed potatoes.. all the meat was gone.. hmm are you getting that? anyway.. sounds weird I know. call me crazy see if I give a dang.
