WHEN a man desires a thing too much, he at once becomes ill at ease.
That is very true. Sometimes when I notice that my peace is gone, I don't have to look far to find the cause: I either want something too much, or want too much of it, or want it at a time that God doesn't have for me.
There is that Scripture, "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." I know I need to really exercise myself in the belief that God wants only what is best for me and to be O.K. with him dealing out to me as He sees fit on any given day. If we're satisfied with only Him, then all the rest will come when it is time.

Hi everyone. I'm afraid I misplaced the link to this book.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
It's been a long time but I remember reading that book and being very blessed by it. The Theologia Germanica seems to be very simmilar in spirit. Has anyone else noticed this?
Hi everyone. I'm afraid I misplaced the link to this book.
Maybe it would be on Christian Classics Ethereal Library?
