We need to have a special forum for this topic since all the other "Ethics" threads get buried under threads about Homosexuality and subsequently die ...

We originally shut it down because it was taking up such a huge percentage of staff's time, as it got pretty heated. I myself don't understand this all encompassing need to discuss the issue over and over, but I realize some do enjoy the debate or feel it's necessary. I'm not sure how the forum itself would work again, though, or if we would have the same problems all over again. One suggestion has been to have one thread in E&M for the topic itself, and probably one for the topic of gay marriage. I'm not sure how that would work out either, though. What are your thoughts on that?
According to my current idea of it it would be the "Ethics and morality" Forum but officially labeled "Gay Discussion" (instead of being unofficially taken over by this topic)
.... And then there would be the normal Ethics Board with all other discussions (including Abortion , it's really not such a big discussion)
Having just to threads with which get closed and reopened in a new topic after a certain number of pages .... would in my view make the lines of discussion too confusing ....
Right now there as it stands that forum will not be reopened. However that doesn't mean it would always been in that state. As far as modding we do require 6 months of activity and at least 200 post on the board before a member can be a moderator.
