The way to be connected to Christ's atoning blood is through baptism. When that happens, we are connected to the body of Christ and become a part of the kingdom of heaven.
startrekfan1, water baptism isn't what connects you to salvation. It's your belief in the atoning blood of Jesus that saves you and that's when you're truly baptized into the Body of Christ, by the Holy Spirit of God(spiritual baptism). Water baptism doesn't save anyone, God’s saving grace is only found in the person of Christ Jesus. You are saved by faith, then good and holy works will follow.
Hi,
I was reading this post and have something to add. My pastor said it this way...once you have been baptized there is no need to be baptized again, when you backslide you can get redeicated , which I have done and made me feel tons better , but baptism is a symbol , a conformation that we have been saved and are sins are washed away. If though, when you got baptized you were real young or maybe didn't know what you were really doing you could get baptized again, you could do what you want anyways but there really isn't any need, just repent of your sins and you are fine sorry so long!

No worries, I got baptised in an Armenian orthodox church when I was young, by being spinkled with water. I recently got re-baptized and I did it wrong, I tried to go in the water head first, my pastor dunked me backwords, and I did the sign of the cross before I went in, it was embarressing..
But I'm saved And everyday I am closer to God then the day before, and I only want to do his will!

Well this is something we are going to have to agree to disagree on.
I have read the scripture and it is very clear as to the purpose of baptism. Now mind you faith is important, but it alone does not save you. It is what that faith leads you to do that is the deciding factor for salvation. Go to ChristianCourier.com and search for the articles regarding baptism. It will give you incredible insight.
Now mind you we are saved by grace and the gift of salvation is free for all, but it is how you ACCEPT the gift that is important. I hope you can gain some new insight on the subject.

Scripture is very clear that believing in Christ Jesus, receiving His Spirit into our spirit, is the basis of salvation, not water baptism. Our emphasis should be on the spiritual reality of Christ's indwelling presence received by faith, not on the external act of water baptism. A Christian who has not been baptized in water is no less a Christian or no less spiritual than us.
Romans 8:9"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."
Acts 16:31"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
Romans 1:16"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
Ephesians 1:13"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,"
John 1:12"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"
John 3:36He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
John 3:16-18 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Acts 16:30-31 30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Galatians 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
Romans 10:13"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
I Peter 1:23"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."
1John 5:10"He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son"

Like I said, believe and faith is a very powerful thing, BUT.... that faith should LEAD you to accepting the gift of salvation properly and with a good heart.
It is not hard to do and will not take to much out of your day. As humans, we have many hours in a day to live out our lives. Won't you take at least one of those hours out of your life to learn about baptism and truly accept the gift of salvation.
Again, we are going to have to agree to disagree.
I hope that you will at least look at the evidence and come to another theory about the subject. May God bless you and your family. Do you need any prayers or anything?
Won't you take at least one of those hours out of your life to learn about baptism and truly accept the gift of salvation.
Then it’s probably best to agree to disagree; because water baptism being absolutely required for salvation is a position I simply don’t find to be biblical.
Romans 14:13"Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way."
I Corinthians 13:4-7 4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
2 Timothy 2:23"But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes."
Titus 3:9"But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain."

Like I said, I hope you would at least look at some of the other evidence and come to another conclusion, but your ways are your ways and my ways are mine.
If you still want to look at that evidence, go to ChristianCourier.com and search for baptism. It will give you some information you may not have known.
Still, let's say for purposes that you are right, and that faith in jesus christ is ALL that is needed for salvation.
I still think that I have accomplished that part in full.
When my church handles new converts, the person is sat down and taught a few of the critical lessons a christian needs to hear. I know that after those, my faith in jesus began. So, in any sense, I think that I am saved either way.
But I do not want to boast or judge, lest I be judged as well, I just wanted to touch base with you on this important topic.
I hope that you will at least look at the other side of the argument.
May God be with you and your family. Do you need any prayers or help?
Just a few moments ago, I found the "core" of my sins, the point of where most of my sin comes from.
It was a realization that seemed like I just saw everything come into place.
I know now of what I need to repent of, but I am scared that I will fail.
This "core" has been with me since I was a teenager and I know it will not go down without a fight.
I was baptized for the remission of my sins a few months ago and I know that repentance is necessary for salvation.
So my question is,
Since I found this "core", do I need to get baptized again and start over from the beginning, or can I turn right now and still find the gift of salvation?
Stop asking man, and go to Jesus/Holy Spirit for your answers. That is the only way to come to the truth.

Some people have an infinite capacity for rationalizing reality to fit their personal ideas.
Believe what the Lord has led you to believe and don't pay attention to those who wish to argue. Ask yourself this question, If others do not get baptised with water and Christ lets them into heaven anyway, does it make a difference? If they do get baptised and enter heaven, does it make a difference? We argue about things that we feel are clear to us yet not clear to others. Personally I do not believe baptism of water is required but only the baptism in the holy spirit is what matters, but that does not make me right. I've been baptised and if Christ put it in my heart to do it daily I would not have a problem with it. It is a confession of faith shown to your peers and family, you are telling GOD and the world that you choose to follow Jesus and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and why others wish to argue this point I have no idea, I think they just want to be the one that are right.
