And Horowitz's Wikipedia page is interesting. He's quite the conspiracy theorist.

This writer seems to believe the "importing AIDS" part was nothing but a poorly made joke. In order to have such poor taste, methinks one would need to possess some kind of morbid, Ed Gein sense of humor. It could be that the chortling heard in the background was actually laughter resulting from nervous shock. But then again, I could be wrong...

Odd, this subject was brought up at work yesterday specifically regarding mercury in vaccines and dental work. I have to tell you, it's difficult to make me think twice about some things but what I read and saw yesterday definately has me thinking.
I DO think that there are some substances that have potentially done more damage than good, BUT I do NOT think vaccinations should be stopped altogether. There's got to be alternatives to put in other than what is supposedly already in there.
The literature that I read did not come from any source that could benefit from it in any way. It was in relation to mercury and the rise in autism and other things. I got online to look up more actually this morning.

Of course, there's much to research from this....credentials, where is mercury found ("supposedly" in vaccines as well), are the claims physiologically true....but something to think about.

You know, we claim how "evil" or "immoral" the world has become, but most of us are unwilling to think that maybe the medical field in some areas just could not be immoral. I'm not saying I believe in alot of claims, but I definately don't turn my head to them automatically.
Everyone/everything is connected. Everyone benefits. It's all about the money sometimes whether we want to believe it or not. In my job, I'm/we are seeing certain illnesses becoming rampant. How is it that autism, being a genetic characteristic, is so much more common now without any family history? So it's being discussed that it may not always be inherited, but caused during early development or after being vaccinated. Just a thought in regards to this, and anything else being questioned. Do the research, and see for yourself if things are plausible or not...
The main thing I disagree with this (any site/source of information), is that if there information that the public should see, then offer it free. This site offers sales of DVDs with conflicting information. So, I'm on the line about stuff, but I don't want to be biased without researching.
My overall opinion on vaccines:
Mercury in vaccinations is contained in the preservative. MMR is the one in question usually. If there is going to be a reaction to one of them, it is usually this one. Nothing, is a sure safe thing. The preservative is called Thimerasol (spelling may be off). There are vaccinations available that are "preservative free". There's no need to not vaccinate your children. Just ask for the preservative free ones. Insurances may vary and I cant remember if you can qualify through the state for these if your insurance won't cover vaccinations, but there it is. Mercury is the main substance in question for MANY things both short and long term. Look for alternatives, but dont stop protecting your kids.

There is no link between vaccinations and autism - just so we can get that one out of the way.
I agree, as I'm not going to put myself in the group to support that people don't vaccinate. The perservative can be the problem sometimes, or actually the mercury in it, not THE vaccine. (As well as all sources of mercury we intake) Whether its true or not, this is most of the concern, but voila...there is another option for peace of mind over whatever. That's what I'm offering. Think and research before you act. Im not against vaccinating.

Could you send the link to the study? Im not arguing, I'm actually just curious.
I hope I'm making my point (just my opinion) clear. I dont know if there is a connection or not, but I do want to encourage those who are freaking out about it that until something comes up saying otherwise, that there ARE alternatives to choose instead of just not vaccinating.
I went to the Cochran site, but couldnt find their detailed study. So, if you dont mind sending it, Id appreciate it. I have a co-worker that is absolutely on a tear right now about all of this and Im stating what I have found so far. If there is something out there that is definate to prove absolutely no connection, then Id love to pass it on to them.
