Those “homes” you keep referring to were fronts for the import of weapons to be used to commit mass murder.
Or the import of food or medicines. Israeli airports are also fronts for the import of weapons used to commit mass murder, as are American airports from where they are flown.
I think we can all agree that both Arabs and Jews would be better off if they just accepted that each has a right to live in peace. They could both prosper if they simply worked together. Unfortunately politicians far away from the conflict benefit from the current state of affairs.
I agree 100%. And both among the Israeli and Palestinian governments you have fanatics who want to dominate and suppress the other side.
Hippie peace activists constantly drone on about all the "injustices" of the world, but seem to believe that such injustices won't affect themselves when placed in perilous situations such as these. Did she honestly expect the driver to yield her protest and turn the other way? These people are so far removed from reality that I feel sorry for them.
I don't think "hippie peace activists" as you call people who put their bodies and lives at risk to defend victims of human rights abuses are under the illusion that they do not face the risk of physical harm or even death for their actions. Both Martin Luther King and Oscar Romero were pretty certain that eventually they would die for their actions in defence of human rights, but that did not make their murders any less evil or reprehensible.
I don't know if Rachel Corrie expected the driver to swerve out of the way instead of crushing her, like he did before. I doubt if either King or Romero believed that the assasins who would take their lives one day would not balk from their duties and not carry out the murders.
It doesn't really matter though, whether or not they knew they would die. Their murders, whether expected or not, were unjust and unfair. The issue is that the snipers who shot them should not have, and just as true that the driver of the bulldozer who killed Rachel should not have done what he did.
The problems are the murders of these unarmed people who were defending human rights. Not whether or not the victims were 'naive' enough to believe they were going to die.
Had the Palestinians not been using the homes as a cover to bring on wepons to murder civilians....
Well, we really don't know now, do we? It's not like the bulldozers would leave any evidence. It's not like the bulldozings go through any kind of legal review. We just have to take the Israeli government's word for it. And I don't trust the word of any government in situations like this.

American-Israeli apologetics - funny (if it weren't so pathetic) to everyone on the internet except... Americans and Israelis.
Don't forget there are many Americans and Israelis who do not buy this propaganda. My hat goes off to Israelis and Jews who take a stand against these injustices and suffer ostracism and sometimes worse for their courage. May God bless them and protect them.

How do you know they were? BTW a question for you- if weapons transporting sites are fit to be bombed then does that mean you support attacks on Israeli airports?

Do I support attacking an airport that's being used to bring in weapons to defend it's own people? Are you REALLY asking me that question?
