In class today, we discussed original sin. How did Satan turn away from God and become evil if he was an angel? Original sin wasn't around yet, God doesn't create any evil, and only humans were born with free will, so how did Satan become evil?
Well, I know that in the Bible it says that he wanted to be God, but how can that be if there was no sin? God created a perfect world, right? Humans have the free will to sin and DO sin, but angels don't. How can this be?

Satans choice was proof that angels had free will. Adams fruit was the beginning of the sin of man and the world. Satan is not man. When he was cast down from heaven, 1/3 of the angels went with him. Jesus came to earth to redeem man for thier sins, not angels and therefore have no salvation. Once angels sin, they may want to turn to God, but cannot achieve the salvation that we do. In a sense, there is no turning back for them...clearly "for or against".

Jesus said in..John 8:44 "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
He was created the father of lies and a murderer.. from the beginning (Genesis is the beginning) and no truth was ever in him.
Satan was created by God to be the adversary...he is who he is via the will of God alone.
You had no say about being here...you had no say in the hour of your birth....you had no say in the Social Family or Cultural back ground you where born into....you have no say in your gender.
The number of your months was decided by him who knew you in the womb before you where born....
The day is comming in your life and in the life of your teachers, when they will be...forced...to recognise the Sovereign Power and Will of God in regards to every individual being in creation.
Every knee will bow....Every tounge will swear allegiance....full stop!
Dear heavensprings. God was NOT the creator of Satan, Jesus rebukes those who do not believethat He is from God. Satan`s origin is not known, and somewhere along the line some spirituall being turned the opposite of all which comes from God. Satan became the chief of all EVIL, the father of lies and complete deceit. It says so in Strong`s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible. Greetings from Emmy, yor sister in Christ.
