1. It keeps those who want to simply keep the forum official title of "Apostolic Churches" happy
2. It allows a distinction between Apostolic Churches from the Pentecostal variety.
3. It directly implies a necessity of Apostolic Succession and Tradition, which keeps the intended target audience intact (some Lutherans could argue they are Apostolic [and I admit with some excellent reason] anyway even if we did keep it simply as Apostolic Churches).
This could work.
I also agree with the others who've said that "non-pentecostal" doesn't work.
On the other hand, I'm still landing in the "leave it alone" camp; after reading, and thinking through, our discussion.

Let the Pentecostals change their name. We were here first...
But- I like the "(non-pentecostal)" qualifier too.
...but calling Apostolic Christians "non-pentecostal" is a bit like calling a radio a "non-television". We are pentecostal, aren't we? (Just not Pentecostal)
Quite, quite true.

I'm beginning to rethink this, since our title is obviously confusing to others (another new thread re "baptist vs apostolic" as example). Maybe we do need to clarify.

FWIW, I may be leaning your way on this now. But we do need to make the simplest correction possible that actually represents an improvement. We'd be shooting ourselves in the foot if we came up with something like "Liturgical Sacramentalists - Apostolic Churches" that 1) is open to wide differences of interpretation and 2) doesn't define "Apostolic" anyway. Apostolic Succession is the focus, so let's just say that in one way or another.
I propose "Apostolic Succession" without "Churches in" or "Churches with." Of course Christians are in churches. Let's keep it short and to the point for the menu listing.

"Apostolic & Liturgical" might work as a qualifier.

The problem with this is that very low church could have apostolic succession. Let's say a group that accepts the theological concepts in the convergence movement but not the liturgical aspects which tend to lead to those concepts.

Please see "Dress Style For Women", in which one more sincere person has confused us with the pentecostal churches that have "Apostolic" as part of their name.
Now...
Is this enough of a concern that we should, indeed, change the forum name?
If not, well and good.
If so, are we able to reach a consensus as to what the new name should be?
I still favor "Churches in Apostolic Succession", but, would go with any reasonable alternative that suits the majority...
