| Anabaptists Statement of Faith The Anabaptist Community - a forum for all Anabaptists to discuss and fellowship. Modern day Anabaptists include the Amish, Mennonites, and Hutterites. Strongly influenced by the Anabaptists are the Quakers and Bretheren. A few things to know about Anabaptists: - We believe that faith in Christ should be a living faith, confirmed in the fruits of Spirit.
- We believe in Believer’s Baptism. The condition for baptism is to be a follower of Christ.
- The Bible is the supreme authority in our lives. We believe that the Bible shows us that members of the Church are to be pacifists, non-resistant to the evil man as commanded by Christ.
- We believe in the separation of Church and state. The Church should respect the Laws of the State as long as it doesn't contradict with the Law of Christ, but not be a political institution having any political power in the State or support from the State.
- Some Anabaptists practice foot-washing and shunning.
To learn more about what we believe please see Anabaptist. House Rules- All posts within this faith community must adhere to the site wide rules found here (Community Rules). In addition, if you are not a member of this faith group, you may not debate issues or teach against it's theology. You may post in fellowship. Active promotion of views contrary to the established teachings of this group will be considered off topic.
