Well, except in the south.

Fox News makes much of the fact that it is the most popular cable news channel. The 500-pound paradox in the room, of course, is that fact that Fox is popular because it is a fake news channel. Its business is not journalism, it’s public relations. Fox has never broken a story, for example. Its programming is an admixture of right-wing propaganda and fear-porn for feeble-minded paranoiacs, served up by spokesmodels who have no clue what they are reading.

It never fails to amaze how people trying to claim intellectual superiority lace their writings with name-calling and profanity.

And the writer of the article claims to be educated? What school teaches people to write like that? All name calling does is make the opponent angry, defensive, and less receptive to the idea you are trying to get across. If that is the goal, then get lost, because we need to bring people together not further the divisions.

Encouraging people to stop watching blatantly biased news (read: Fox or MSNBC), is like trying to do origami while sleepin.
Unfortunately, we are all going to have to get over the fact that people we disagree with may be doing so simply because of where they choose to get their news (though really, it's a "chicken or the egg?" scenario).

I avoid both MSNBC and foxnews because they always seem to put a slant on when they report a story. Now, while I tend to agree most of the time with msnbc's slant (I won't lie), I still believe in news as just a report of the facts.

So basically I don't watch the news at all =]

Fox is really no different from all US corporate media except maybe for being a bit more ludicrous on purpose.
