Is this kind of witnessing ok with god?

Im a pretty new reborn christian im starting to backslide a bit but i try to keep my ear to gods word on christian radio stations and i recently attended the harvest crusade and walked down on the feild i was actually on camera during the coming forward and the bible says confess me before men and he will confess me before his father so by appearing on camera down on the feild that means i pretty much confessed god before millions watching right? im still pretty shy about witnessing to people around me i dont feel my personality had changed for the good yet and i flip and flop between sin and worship in my life so i would feel like a hypocrate if I witnessed to someone 2 minutes after acting sinfull. i would like to know if gods ok with me just witnessing online to people in chat rooms and forums instead of real life? someone help me with answers please.

If you're still slipping into sin maybe you should examine yourself as Paul tells us. Backsliding is not really a biblical term that could be used. The Word tells us that no liar, no thief, no adulterer (yes lust counts too), no idolater, etc. shall enter the kingdom of God. It doesn't say "no liar, thief, etc., who has not prayed the sinners prayer at a crusade or revival shall
enter...".

True repentance leads to salvation (2 Cor 7:10). Without repentance and turning completely from sin you will not be born again. Being born again means exactly as it says, you will become a new person by the gift of the grace of God. God will give you new thoughts, desires and priorities.

If you wake up daily knowing you're probably going to sin and make provision for it you may be in trouble. If you wake up daily making provision to please God you are ok I would think. I don't tell you this out of spite rather out of concern being that I was a church member who was a false convert for many, many years. Now I can't wait to share my faith. I have unmeasureable gratitude for being saved though I deserved death.

Remember, God sees your every thought and action. Examine yourself brother.

Just get back in shape! Find a good Bible-believing church, attend it regularly, join a ministry and a Bible study. And most importantly, pray. It sounds like you just need to get out of the world and get in The Word.

None of us are perfect. It's not a sin to witness, although sinning right before you witness will certainly affect your credibility...

I thought witnessing was about telling people how we have experienced God or Jesus Christ in our lives.

like this... I got saved at home and it was a mighty battle for my soul.. gotta tell ya, the devil all around but Jesus kept at it day after day... I saw nothing with my eyes.. I did not see Jesus but I have felt his hands upon me and he healed me.. Jesus Christ himself I tell ou truly, no pastor no church just him answering my many prayers and crying out.. he even exorcised me yes indeed ladies and gentleman and many of you need him to cleanse you too. And a big part of why the church is in so much trouble these days is because you do not really believe. or you are afraid to believe.. repent and he will forgive.

give your entire life to him, lay it down, let him lead you. It's the best thing you will ever do.

and then... you will be able to witness.

In reality, you need to spend some time with God and ask Him to draw you closer to Him. We are all going to sin. This is an imperfect world and we are imperfect people. The issue is though are you wanting to just witness to people online in order to be able to do whatever you want as far as the real world goes? Are you wanting to just continue on in whatever sin you are living in without others knowing? Remember God will always know. You can't have the best of both worlds.

Being a Christian is the hardest thing for anyone to do. You must be willing to lay down your life for Jesus. You must be willing to die to yourself DAILY and live for Him. Not for yourself. If you are truly wanting to serve God, then you will give all you have to knowing Jesus. Christianity is a way of life. It isn't something you can just turn on and off at your leisure.

Get serious about living for Jesus and He will change your life.

I really don't want to be facetious; but my Bible doesn't say all WILL sin. It says all HAVE sinned. The Word of God tells us to BE PERFECT, and to BE HOLY. We have a very distorted view of the power of God if we see only His power to deliver us from the penalty of sin and not the power of sin. God delivers us from both the penalty AND the power of sin. He didn't say you "will" be perfect. He said "be ye perfect." It is a devastating mistake to use the statement that "all have sinned" as a crutch for the flesh by disfiguring it to say "all will sin."

In my opinion you should just stop to look at your self and look at God instead. Because also if I try everyday to live as God wants I can't ever be perfect enough to be worth of witnessing. What I suggest you is to witness in your real life and do not make compromises like witnessing in chat\forums or staff like that (I think it's good to do it but not if you wanna do that INSTEAD of witnessing in real life). When you witness you are not presenting your self, you are presenting the Gospel.

Philippians 4:13, you can do everything in Christ. Don't allow the enemy to stop your run so easily, God is with you, God love never changes also when we fail

nheslink is on a distinguished road
I don't think he would disapprove of only witnessing to others on the computer or online. The first few people I witnessed to were over the net in a chat room. It will help you to learn what you need to do in a real life situation.

As to the sin part ask God for help. I have been where you are sliding in and out of faith. When you walk along the darker path it is hard to stay on the light. It can be done and you will be able to do it but it will take a little while and if you don't ask the lord to help it will be even harder!
