Boy, talk about an Ostrich.

Why would a person stick to this dogma? It has no effect on the bible one way or the other. 6000 or 60,000,000. It all works the same. Bible is still solid bro.

And to believe this, and more importantly apostle to this, does God no good. When you espouse the unbelievable, the souls who might be available to you..... AND GOD, turn away in disbelief.

So, in essence, you're not only doing a disservice to yourself. But to God as well.

On top of that, you have to ignore solid science, and many parts of the bible, to maintain this view. Like the first earth age, for one.

Just bad medicine all the way around bro.

1) why would he pick a week?! why not do it in 1 day? what is so important about a week?

2) that doesn't answer anything. HOW did he make it?
what organelles did he start with, what genes, how did he combine them, what catalysts did he use?

3) then why do they all show a nested hierarchy of similarities in time?
do you want us to believe that;s just there by "pure chance"?

4) christ came after genesis, and if god planned christ from the beginning, he wouldn't have to need to send the flood.
why doesn't the bible mention any other planets with life forms living on it created by the same god and for the same purpose?

5) so he DOES want worship. now WHY?

The more ridiculous the dogma, the stronger the faith required to believe it. The stronger the faith, the holier the believer. It's about showing how really, really, holy you are. It gets you noticed. It validates a meaningless existence.

And to believe this, and more importantly apostle to this, does God no good. When you espouse the unbelievable, the souls who might be available to you..... AND GOD, turn away in disbelief.
It is not that bad. All the Lord requires is that we deal fairly, love mercy, and walk humbly. It is not required that we grovel and believe nonsense.

I think the best way to answer questions like this one --- (other than 'I don't know') --- is simply this way:

Picture a perfect human being. One that has no blemishes, no spots, no wrinkles, and most of all, nothing that will, when taken to its final conclusion, lead to death. He is impervious to pain and can stand inside of a forest fire, or submerge himself in the ocean forever, if he so chooses. He can walk off of a cliff, fall 300 feet, banging his head and torso on jagged rocks all the way down, and get up and laugh about it.

Now compare that human being to a human being today, and any differences would be attributed to the Fall which, of course, is not the point of this thread.

So the fall also effected non-homo primates, fruit bats and guinea pigs? And just so I follow; Man was created perfect, a virtual super human (based on your description), and after the fall, god just turned off that gene?

Assuming fruit bats and guinea pigs existed at the time --- yes.

Well, let me make a couple of points here, just so we can keep this conversation more on a Biblical perspective:
  1. Let's change what you called a 'super human' to 'glorified human.'
  2. As far as genes are concerned, I can't really comment on them, as Adam came into existence fully-mature from the dust of the ground, and his genetic makeup, although glorified, is not covered in Genesis.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but it was you, not me, who suggested that man could stand in a fire, jump off a 300 ft. cliff, etc., and emerged unscathed. I wouldn't exactly call that glorified, as much as I would super human. But that's just me.

I understand.

We call that a 'glorified state' --- and God is going to return this universe to its glorified state (with some modifications) in the future.
