Origins TheologyForum for the discussion of Creation Science (Young/Old) vs Theistic Evolution. Discussion of Atheistic Evolution should be taken to the Discussion and Debate forums.
This is a t-shirt that I ordered cause I think it looks cool, and it makes a statement. I plan on wearing it to church. My church doesn't have an official stance on the crevo issue but I know many assume a YEC POV. I also know there is an interest in this topic because during a preaching course I gave a 10 minute "sermon" on the lessons in the creation account and flood myths from the perspective of the author and his cosmology.
Tell me what you think about this shirt. It reminded me of my avatar.

Ooohhh... I like it! Very provocative. That'll get people out of their shells.

I thought Jesus only evolved on his mother's side?
That would be an assumption. We don't know how God came up with the 2nd half of Jesus' DNA. He was, after all, fully man.

Hey, it is a funny t-shirt, but you will get people reacting to the idea the Christ simply evolved. Better start reading up your Teilhard de Chardin. Of course others will complain you are saying Jesus was a monkey.

I had never heard of that guy but looking him up on wiki I think I will have to read up on him.
I also reread a chapter in the CS Lewis book "the problem of pain". Chapter 5 is about "the fall" and it explains it from an evolutionary perspective. I don't think I caught all of what he was saying the first time I read that book.
But anyways, Jesus was an ape the same as we are. To say He was also fully God I don't think is a physical characteristic. His body was fully human, so it has the same ancestry as we do.
