When we lament in our soul and spirit it is so difficult to express it in ways that adequately do it justice. Please, readers of the thread see the OP in the light of that and grant him grace. He is attempting to express his desire to see Christ’s Church edified. He draws on his experience and speaks from a point where he stands now. We can accept that can’t we? We can take his lament and use it to offer him consolation can’t we?

What are the original foundations you wish to see more clearly? How can you work within the will of God to see them more clearly?

Your thinking very broadly when you mention revamping the entire western civilization's church. I'd pray for God's help with your ambition, as it's impossible to do without him.

Also, I've been too some church's that were worse then other's and some that were better then other's, not all church's are in need of revamping.

Stuartb it looks like to me that you are in a part of the world where the Church is cold, but In the United States and the south for one are on fire for Jesus Christ. You keep saying we need to care for the lost. I for one have been a missionary, and still do missionary work in the summers. The church in the United States sends 100,000's of missionaries all over the world. My church just got a message from a group of missionaries who went to South America for a month, they have been there one week now and have baptized 300 people into Jesus Christ. Maybe it is you who needs to leave the region your in and come to where the Church is Hot and learn from the real Church and then take it back to your country.

The Church is not made of stone and glass. The Church is within you and all around you. Lift a stone...I am there. Split a piece of wood... I am there.

What if there were no one to speak to you. What if you were to gather together and share. What if He were your teacher?

The Church is not the 1.5 Billion people who say they are Christian and live their life in the world. Jesus Christ said that only a very small % of people will be saved, I do not know this to be true, but I would bet that only less than 1% of 1.5 billion who say they are christian are truly the Church.

AMEN!! I would agree!! The true church has been exposed in only little amounts. I would bet that your percentage is pretty close. But I do however believe that your percentage will rise and more will be added in because they will start to see His Truth!

I agee, God is adding new members to the Lord's Church each day.
