I Am a Friend of God

Dear All,

I have just logged on this evening for the last time to say goodbye properly. I thought I would say my goodbye here so that some of the naysayers would not have a chance to say some of the things that I can expect them to say.

I am not going to explain all my reasons for leaving, not least of which because if I did this post would not survive on the forum!

But to cut a long story short and to talk about things I am entitled to talk about, I think that I can utilise my time in a more efficient manner to explain and teach the truths of the Word God has shown me over the last 15 years. In addition, real life has suddenly become so busy.

I have spent most of my time that I would normally spend on here setting up my own business designing websites (www.mattan.co.uk). It has made well over £400 this month, it's first month of business. That is a blessing to Amanda and I, I can tell you. As the business takes off, I can lessen the hours of my day job and have more time for the works of ministry.

In addition, I have started to write a second book (my first is Rivers and Wells, about how every Christian can have a miracle ministry) called Jesus Tasted Death about how Jesus died spiritually, I am about 1/3 of the way through this and would appreciate your prayers to complete this. Then I am writing a third book called Prophets, Priests and Kings and then another book about the value of Speaking in Tongues.

Our healing crusade is only 10 days away as of the time of me writing this. Derek Prince Ministries and Bob Gass Ministries have given us a lot of free literature and books for the crusade, and the FGBMFI have been very supportive. Another church is running a mini-bus to our crusade and we have people coming from nearly 100 miles away. I am very excited about this. I love it when God's people come together in faith.

We have a non-Christian visiting our church this Sunday - our first non-Christian visitor to a service, so we are believing for him to be born again this week.

There is simply increase on every area of our life right now (apart from my waistline which I prophecy decrease on!), and we are so grateful to the living God.

We had a six month old Christian this week pray for a man with cancer and the cancer completely disappeared. She has just been listening to the Word of Faith teaching and learned how to stand on the Word and see miracles. Praise the Lord!

I have made some really good friends on this forum. I will always have a special place in my heart for VictoryWord whose constant flow of faith words helped me when I was in a very weak place nearly 10 years ago. I am thankful to Wiley and Supplanter and Probinson for all the support and integrity they have shown again and again. True examples of how to debate well, stand your ground and not sling mud even when it is being slung at you by the bucketloads.

Cindy, your thread - I don't post often but I do lurk often and it blesses me, and everyone who posts on speak the blessings.

Lordismybanner - I will continue to pray for you as Amanda and I always do.

Pinetree - nice try getting me back, friend. You were a worthy opponent who always stuck to the issues, gave as good as you got and never ran crying to the moderators if we disagreed with you. I hope you keep in touch. PS I read the KJV, the NASB and the NLT (for long reads). I don't read the Message, nor am I "NIV positive". If more debaters had been like you, I would still be around.

I am sure I have forgotten loads of people.

Anyway, life is good, so so good. I am still on the net, just not here. If this forum changes in certain ways, I will come back.

Also, I am always on faithforum.eu, which is open to everybody but is run with a WoF perspective. It would be good to see people on there. It is run by someone who is here a fair bit, and he is a wonderful Christian and it is a very encouraging place. I am going to be teaching through Romans there verse by verse, a new verse every day so come and be blessed.

Ben, I am so happy and excited to hear all the things you are doing! Woo-hoo! What a blessing to know you! With all I hear, from your post, you are surely a threat to the devil. Hee-hee. And need I say, you bring glory to God! Much glory!

I think I should be sad, for truly I will miss you, but I have such joy over this! I know you are hearing form the Lord, and you are making this move in wisdom, using your time wisely. I am not one to log onto yet another forum and try to keep up with things, my time is taken with many other things too, but in this case, well, I just may have to. Some people I just don't want to lose touch with, and you're one of them.

Edited to add - will be praying for these meetings coming up.

Bro, you have been such a blessing. I really enjoyed seeing you deliver piping hot beat downs to our opponents in the debate section. I wish I was half the debater you are. I've really learned a lot from your posts.
