I evaluate Islam based on its verifiable record, not the flowery pronouncements and promises of its followers. And that record is dismal and bloody indeed, a trail of mayhem and misogyny spanning multiple continents. Islam truly does have a reverse Midas touch.
Seems to me your time would be better spent bringing about a Reformation in Islam to bring it out of the Dark Ages rather than scorning me for telling it like it is. Truth hurts, but a frank and open acknowledgment of truth is essential to bringing about improvement and progress.

Seems to me you need to educate yourself concerning Islam period. I'm not gonna sit here and say that we have a small minority of Muslims that are causing problems, but it's the self-professed Christian nation that is killing Muslims and Christians in the MidEast and SW Asia right now. On top of which, the US Gov't is supplying Israel with the tools to kill Muslims and Christians in Palestine. During Muslim rule, we never killed other Muslims unless it was in self-defense. During the Crusades, the Chruch and Christians killed anyone and said God will sort them out. Who's past is more bloody and reviled now?

You're both as bad as each other. It doesn't matter if you religion the lesser of two evils, it's still evil. It leads inexorably to evil, despite the claims of its more passive believers.
I'm a theoretical Communist, which means I believe that communism, in theory, is a superior economic system. But I don't push for communism. Why? Because history has proven such a push to be bloodthirsty and dangerous, and ultimately futile.
Likewise, despite the promises of Islam, it never makes good on them. It's all very well saying that 'real' Islam doesn't condone violence, stoning of women, martyrdom, etc, but that doesn't change the fact that Islam does indeed lead to such things.
