WHAT "TIPPING POINT" WILL PUSH AMERICANS TO THEIR LIMIT?

Here’s what we’re looking at:
Massive taxes, unprecedented government spending and full bore amnesty. Add to that a proposed state-run health care system which will force a “surtax” on folks who dare to be financially successful, will require employers to foot the bill for their worker’s health insurance- in essence penalizing business owners for having employees. (Great job stimulus, isn’t it?) The “healthcare” plan advocated by our president by its very nature will necessitate rationed services and guarantee mind-boggling bureaucracy along with the wasteful spending that is attached to all government programs. We’re facing a so- called “Cap and Trade” scheme which will further bankrupt this country by raising utility bills and reducing quality of living while exporting jobs. We have a Supreme Court Justice nominee who makes rulings based on skin color and who doesn’t think the 2nd amendment means what it says.
Our president has engineered the direct deposit of our tax dollars into the accounts of the baby-slaying industry giants, we confront acceptance as “normal” of the perversion of homosexuality through “marriage,” a ramped-up effort to play Globo-cop in Afghanistan to the tune of an additional $91 billion dollars, continued nation-building in Iraq, more government secrecy (called “transparency” by the Obama machine), corporate welfare, paybacks to union thugs via “card check” work place coercion, ,ramped up political profiling of so-called “Right wing extremists”, stealth “hate crimes “ legislation ( S 1390) designed to ”punish pastors and protect pedophiles” which is hidden in the National Defense Authorization Act (a favorite hiding place for scary and unconstitutional flotsam), more usurping of power from the executive branch and that’s just the thumbnail.
But you’re painfully aware of all that.

The question is what’s the final straw? What has to happen or what has happened that has you constructing your Maginot line?
In other words, what will cause you to tip when other events thus far haven’t?
The popular book Tipping Point examined epidemics, trends, events and movements to determine why some “tipped” and others didn’t. For instance, what made Hushpuppies a popular shoe when the brand languished for years with poor sales? Why did a routine outbreak of Syphilis in Baltimore turn into a full blown epidemic? Analyzing occurrences such as these, Malcolm Gladwell determined that something pushes the ordinary to become the extraordinary.

Gladwell showed that the overarching critical mass necessary to “tip” people and things doesn’t happen with one particularly major event. It is the little things before the “event” that causes the tip.
When did you say “that’s it”? Have you said it yet? When did you determine that you’ve “had enough” of servility and abuses by the powers that have corrupted your government?
Like the proverbial frog in the pot, have you kept upping your tolerance for what’s “too hot”?
Some say their tipping point will be when their guns are physically taken from them. Hard to imagine many of us will protest when for years we’ve allowed a steady eroding of our 2nd amendment rights and continued to elect and re-elect gun-grabbers on the “right” like John McCain. One by one, our fingers have been pried off the grips and now we hold onto our weapons with weakened, anemic grasps. Was it too close for comfort when the New Orleans area homeowners defending their property from looters in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina were asked to hand over their guns?
Or was that something we could dismiss because it was “down there”? How about foreign troops on U.S. soil? Will that tip us? Perhaps the FEMA exercises planned for July 27th, 2009 will cause some mild reflux. Or maybe we will explain away yet another questionable act by federal overlords hell bent on making us all one Pangea-like serfdom. Later this month, the folks in FEMA region VI (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.) will be offering up their renowned hospitality to troops from a number of countries in what’s called NLE 09.
The National Level Exercise “will focus on intelligence and information sharing among intelligence and law enforcement communities, and between international, federal, regional, state, tribal, local and private sector participants (emphasis mine). “The NLE 09 scenario will begin in the aftermath of a notional (sic) terrorist event outside of the United States, and exercise play will center on preventing subsequent efforts by the terrorists to enter the United States and carry out additional attacks. This scenario enables participating senior officials to focus on issues related to preventing terrorist events domestically and protecting U.S. critical infrastructure.”
Note the absurdity of an exercise that purports to “prevent ...efforts by...terrorists to enter the United States.” ( Psst, hey terrorists- the southern border’s a cinch!) However, if an American citizen happens to have a standard size tube of toothpaste in his suitcase at the airport or one that’s not encased in a quart size plastic bag, the TSA federales can be counted on to protect the citizenry first by a proper wanding and then confiscation of the hazardous dentrifice.
The FEMA advisory contained this bit of irony:
”FEMA leads and supports the nation in a risk-based, comprehensive emergency management system of preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation, to reduce the loss of life and property and protect the nation from all hazards including natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other man-made disasters." (emphasis mine).

Disasters like crime, economic decimation, environmental degradation, cultural demise and health threats that have resulted from our “man-made” immigration policies?
Tipping Point author Gladwell uses Paul Revere as an example in his book. He points out that the famous American silversmith was known to be up on where and how King George’s men were moving around the northeast.
A stable boy who overheard rumors of British troop movement shared that information with Revere who then took it on the hoof late one night. Paul Revere was instrumental as a “connector” and oh what a tipping point that midnight’s ride turned out to be!
Are we “connectors”? Will we take the information we have read and turn our outrage into a tipping point for ourselves and others? Or will we find ourselves sitting in front of our well-used computers in 2012 bemoaning our choices for president again? Will we opt for Obama or another pro-abortion, gun –grabbing, big government liberal like Mitt Romney, who is the rumored Republican heir-apparent at this juncture. If not him, we’re sure to be offered someone with similar left-leaning credentials by the GOP.
That’s why so many of us are working to ensure there will be another option- a third choice in 2012.
One thing is certain, there are sure to be many more tipping points between now and then.

I don't need any more. I've already tipped over and it looks as if the people who actually get what's going on, are in the minority. The only bright thing I have to look forward to with this is laughing when the liberals are the ones on the news with their pie holes hanging to their knees when they finally get it.

Michelle Obama's $5950 black alligator manila clutch

First of all, we must make a correction. It wasn’t a purse. It was a $5950 black alligator manila clutch made in Italy from the skin of an endangered alligator.
OK, we have to make another correction. We don’t actually know if alligators are endangered, but this particular alligator is definitely not basking in sunshine anymore.
Enough corrections. Let’s get to the story.
If you were strolling through the woods outside Moscow, you might carry a backpack and a compass. Not First Lady Michelle Obama. No, she showed off her expensive tastes in fashion by carrying that aforementioned $5950 black alligator manila clutch.
We’re not fluent in Italian, but as far as we can tell “manila clutch” is an Italian term that means “Crazy American with too much money.”

Obama Health Plan to Cover 12 Million Illegals

On Friday, Democrats moved one step closer to giving free health insurance to the nation’s estimated 12 million illegal aliens when they successfully defeated a Republican-backed amendment, offered by Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., that would have prevented illegal aliens from receiving government-subsidized health care under the proposed plan backed by House Democrats and President Barack Obama.

The House Ways and Means Committee nixed the Heller amendment by a 26-to-15 vote along straight party lines, and followed this action by passing the 1,018-page bill early Friday morning by a 23-to-18 margin, with three Democrats voting against the plan.
The Democratic plan will embrace Obama’s vision of bringing free government medical care to more than 45 million uninsured people in America – a significant portion of whom are illegal aliens.

According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, costs under the Obama plan being proposed by the House will saddle citizens with $1.04 trillion in new federal outlays over the next decade.

Congressional Democrats and Obama have argued that their health plan is necessary to contain rising health care costs.
But, last Thursday, CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf testified before the Senate Budget Committee and warned lawmakers that the proposed “legislation significantly expands the federal responsibility for health care costs."
A key factor increasing costs is that Democratic plan provides for blanket coverage to as much as 15 percent of the U.S. population not currently insured, including illegals.
Democrats had insisted throughout the health-care reform debate that illegals would be ineligible for the so-called public option plan that is to be subsidized by taxpayers.
"We're not going to cover undocumented aliens, undocumented workers," Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, told reporters in May. "That's too politically explosive." (Not mention immoral and illegal!)

Republicans, however, point out that the Democrats, by refusing to accept the Heller amendment, would deny health agencies from conducting simple database checks to verify citizenship. Many states give illegals driver licenses, which will be sufficient to get free health care under the plan.
Critics also contend that millions of illegals who already have counterfeit Social Security cards or other fraudulent documents. There is no enforcement mechanism in the legislation, experts say, to prevent illegals who use fake IDs to obtain jobs from also obtaining taxpayer-subsidized health insurance.

GOP representatives introduced the amendment to provide a way to weed out non-citizens from the program.
A description of the amendment on Heller's Web site state it would "better screen applicants for subsidized health care to ensure they are actually citizens or otherwise entitled to it."

The Web post added, "The underlying bill is insufficient for the purpose of preventing illegal aliens from accessing the bill’s proposed benefits, as it does not provide mechanisms allowing those administering the program to ensure illegal aliens cannot access taxpayer-funded subsidies and benefits."

The Heller amendment would have required that individuals applying for the public health care option would be subject to two systems used to verify immigration status already in use by the government: The Income and Eligibility Verification System (IEVS) and the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program.

The two systems cross-reference Social Security numbers and employment information to establish whether an individual is a U.S. citizen.

Critics: Free Health Care Means More Illegals
A recent Rasmussen Reports poll found that an overwhelming 80 percent of Americans oppose covering illegals in any public health care bill.
Anti-immigration activists say the availability of low-cost benefits, including health insurance and in-state tuition, will only lure more immigrants to come to the United States.

Political analyst Dick Morris, in his recently released best-selling book “Catastrophe”, warns that giving illegal free health care will lead to a flood of new illegals who can take advantage of such a benefit not offered in their home countries.
William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration, agrees with that sentiment, writing, "Each state and federal elected official must know that illegal aliens should not be given licenses, in-state tuition, mortgages, bank accounts, welfare, or any other benefit short of emergency medical care and law enforcement accommodations before they are deported."
But a small fraction of illegals end up deported, as many make widespread use of fake IDs to easily gain access to government benefits programs.
"Experts suggest that approximately 75 percent of working-age illegal aliens use fraudulent Social Security cards to obtain employment," wrote Ronald W. Mortensen in a recent Center for Immigration Studies research paper. Mortensen says one of the big misconceptions about illegals is that they are undocumented.

James R. Edwards Jr., co-author of The Congressional Politics of Immigration Reform, recently wrote on National Review Online that "it's hard to envision how health reform can avoid tripping the immigration booby trap."
Edwards says none of the legislation under consideration actually requires any state, federal, or local agency to check the immigration status of those who apply for the program.

The assumption is that companies have vetted their employees to ensure they are eligibility for legal employment – a difficult task for employers given the active market in fraudulent documents. Thus Edwards maintains "some of the money distributed … inevitably would go to illegal aliens."
The estimates of illegal aliens in the United States without health insurance vary. The most commonly cited statistic, attributed to the Center for Immigration Statistics and the U.S. Census Bureau, holds that 15 percent to 22 percent of the nation's 46 million uninsured are illegal aliens. That would be between 6.9 million and 10.1 million people. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama claimed the nation United States has 12 million or more undocumented aliens.

John Sheils of the Lewin Group, a health care consulting firm owned by UnitedHealth Group, recently told National Public Radio that about 6.1 million illegals – about half of all illegals in the United States – lack documentation and therefore would not be legally eligible for benefits under the current health care reforms.

Sheils says the other half of the nation's illegals – 5 million to 6 million – use false documents to obtain on-the-books employment. Many of them are already insured under their employers' plans, he added.

"A lot of those people are getting employer health benefits as part of their compensation," Sheils told NPR.
Certainly, some contend that undocumented workers who are gainfully employed and receiving benefits such as health insurance are contributing to society. But the fact remains that, once equipped with a fake ID, a person in the United States illegally can obtain both a job and the benefits that go with it.

Estimates of the cost of providing illegals with medical care vary. Most uninsured illegals who need medical attention obtain it from hospital emergency rooms. And several states are already straining under the huge burden of paying for the health costs of illegal aliens.
According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), in 2004 California's estimated cost of unreimbursed medical care was $1.4 billion. Texas estimated its cost at $850 million annually, and Arizona at $400 million.
Non-border states shoulder heavy burdens as well. Virginia's annual cost of providing health care for undocumented workers is approximately $100 million per year, FAIR reports, while Florida's health care cost is about $300 million annually.
One of the ironies of the proposed legislation is that it would fine American citizens who opt not to purchase insurance coverage, but would exempt illegals from such fines. This is presumably due to the fact that they are not supposed to participate in the program anyway.
Even if no illegals were likely to benefit from health care reform, Democrats have made it clear that amnesty is the next item on their ambitious legislative agenda.

"I've got to do health care, I've got to do energy, and then I'm looking very closely at doing immigration," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., declared in June.

Reid explained the urgent need for amnesty in terms very similar to those that Democrats have used to press for health care reform. "We have an immigration system that's broken and needs repair," Reid said.
Immigration expert Edwards, for one, says health-care reform may itself need serious medical attention before it is healthy enough pass through Congress.

"The American people may soon realize how much health reform will benefit immigrants and cost the native-born," he writes. "When that happens, the volatile politics of immigration could derail universal health care."

CHANGE YOU NEVER EXPECTED: HEALTH CARE FOR ILLEGALS

Barack Obama, the first non-citizen of the United States to become president, promised change for all American citizens.

While he conceals his birth origin, Obama and Congress practice “Obfuscation-101.” Obama and democratic House leaders conceal the fact that their health care bill covers unlawful immigrants.

Last week, our intrepid albeit dishonest U.S. House of Representatives unveiled their health care reform legislation entitled, "America's Affordable Health Care Act of 2009." They might have added, “America’s Affordable Health Care for 20 million unlawful Mexicans Act.”

The Federation for American Immigration Reform, The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR):, said, “Despite the language in section 246 of the bill that states: "nothing—shall allow Federal payments [for] individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States," the bill actually raises more questions than it resolves with respect to whether the bill will burden American taxpayers by giving health care benefits to legal and illegal aliens.

“The draft House bill — consisting of 1,018 pages — was introduced by Rep. John Dingell (D-MI) and cosponsored by the chairmen of the three House committees of jurisdiction: Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY), Chairman of the Ways & Means Committee; Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA), Chairmen of the Energy & Commerce Committee; and Rep. George Miller (D-CA), Chairman of the Education & Labor Committee.”

With great irony, Waxman and Miller representatives from the overrun State of California by unlawful immigrants—lead the charge to give away your dollars. Their former muscle man governor runs a $26 billion state deficit while hosting five million illegals. Schwarzenegger handed out $56 million in IOUs to pay his bills this month, but didn’t touch the “sacred cow” of billions in payments to criminal aliens.

The skullduggery begins; “Section 202 of this bill creates a Health Insurance Exchange and states that "all individuals are eligible to obtain coverage" through the exchange. The House Education & Labor Committee has produced a summary of the bill and explains that the exchange will allow individuals and employers to "comparison shop for coverage" and that the bill creates "new affordability credits? for people purchasing [health coverage] through the exchange."

Again, U.S. taxpayers open their wallets wide, “Under Section 242, all legal aliens will qualify for the affordability credit. Subsection (d) states that the affordability credits "shall not be treated [as] a benefit provided under section 403" of the Welfare Reform Act of 1996. Under Welfare Reform, legal aliens are generally required to wait five years before becoming eligible for welfare or other taxpayer funded benefits. The House health reform bill eliminates that 5-year waiting period for legal aliens as applied to taxpayer financed health insurance subsidies, such as the affordability credit. Accordingly, legal aliens will become immediately eligible for this government handout — a handout that would be paid for by the American taxpayers.”

This Congress mandates a minimum of 1.2 million legal immigrants annually, or, to bring it into sharper focus, Congress crams another 138,000 fresh-off-the-boat immigrants into the USA every 30 days, month in and month out—most poor, uneducated and in need of welfare.

FAIR said, “Given the bill's language, illegal aliens are also likely to qualify for the affordability credit. This is true because there are no provisions that would prevent an illegal alien from participating in the exchange or from receiving the credit.

“Likewise, there are no requirements that a government agency verify eligibility, whether through the SAVE system or otherwise. Accordingly, without these important safeguards, illegal aliens would probably receive this subsidy.”

Georgia journalist D.A. King, The Dustin Inman Society - Secure American Borders - Enforce American laws - founded by D.A. King, said, “Welcome to one of the best kept secrets you likely will not hear about in the mainstream media. The same out-of-control government that has refused to secure our borders in a war on terror - I mean "man-caused disaster" - may soon be in charge of your health care and most members of the party in charge want to extend that universal coverage to illegal aliens.

“According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, more than a million people were apprehended trying to enter the U.S. illegally in fiscal year 2008. As Roy Beck, director of the respected Washington D.C. pro-immigration control organization, NumbersUSA, notes, "It is the growth among the uninsured that is helping drive the political effort to change the health care system. Previous studies have shown that illegal aliens account for nearly all of the growth in the uninsured in recent years."

As you can see, U.S. Senator Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi of the House—both of them obfuscate and outright lie to the American people as to who pays for this national “socialized health care” nightmare. Already, unlawful immigrants enjoy free health care through Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA). It costs us billions of dollars annually. This year, 350,000 unlawful pregnant immigrants will tap into billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars, of which they paid nothing. That pregnancy rate repeats annually!

The inherent fraud being foisted upon Americans as our leaders encourage unlawful workers and immigrants to this country—astounds anyone that abides by the rule of law. Reid and Pelosi belong to an elite club of liars and cheats. They won’t enforce our immigration laws, but they will make us pay for those who broke our laws.

Finally, another inequity explodes across the nation. Those people that don’t drink, smoke and become obese—must pay for those who do! Let’s face it; Americans constitute the fattest group of humans on the planet. Over 150 million Americans, half our population, eat themselves into obesity, heart attacks, diabetes, cancers and worse. Another 50 million smoke and chew themselves into lung cancer, throat and stomach cancers.

Why should those of us who take care of ourselves pay for any of their folly?

The best health care stems from personal accountability, healthy eating, exercise and spiritual connection to life.

The Obama White House is calling for informer-citizens to denounce opponents of the president’s health care plan. A post on the White House website posted today reads:
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

The post by Macon Phillips, the White House Director of New Media, does not indicate what the Obama White House will do with the information.

In the waning days of the election, St. Louis and Missouri sheriffs and top prosecutors announced a plan to arrest and prosecute Obama opponents. “A local television station’s coverage of a Missouri campaign ‘truth squad’ on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has touched off a national Internet frenzy,” the Detroit Free Press reported on September 30, 2008. “What has prompted all the furor is that several members of the Obama’s ‘truth squad’ in Missouri are prosecutors or members of law enforcement. They include St. Louis Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer and St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch. All are Democrats.”

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment,” Gov. Matt Blunt responded. “This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights.”

Although the Obama administration has yet to call for prosecuting Obamacare opponents, the fact they are compiling a list of suspects is seriously troubling and reveals the authoritarian mindset of the administration.
It also brings to mind Nixon’s enemies list compiled by convicted criminal Charles Colson. Nixon’s list of political opponents would eventually total of over 30,000 names.
Considering the large number of Americans opposed to Obamacare, it is possible Obama’s list of political enemies may exceed that number in short order.

Honor, I certainly do care, no question. But when I see these things happening and we know they are happening....at an alarming rate since 2001, we can take great comfort and peace in knowing that with each passing day our redemption is drawing nearer.
