Sarah Palin was standing tall with a title of "The Renegade.". My immediate reaction was to say "What the .......................!!!!?"
Anyone explain this? (specifically those who tout the liberal media stuff). Why is Palin being lauded as a hero?

renegade Etymology:Spanish renegado, from Medieval Latin renegatus, from past participle of renegare to deny, from Latin re- + negare to deny — more at negate
1 : a deserter from one faith, cause, or allegiance to another Sounds about right |

I've met people so consumed by their own hateful spirits that they get angry when something said about someone isn't hateful.

Perhaps it's because "Maverick" was already taken... and beaten into the ground?
Isn't it interesting that between McCain the Maverick and Palin the Renegade... the top Republicans' strategy has been to convince people that they're not really Republicans? |

Reps: 2,970,940,407,733 (power: 2,970,940,410) | | | The GOP is still in a fog after it's November bashing. The GOP seemingly is content to sit on the sidelines sniping and criticizing the Obama administration and Democrats, while doing little else.
There is a leadership void in the GOP. Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh made attempts to lead, but their efforts seemingly have been dismissed.
Meanwhile Sarah Palin and the pathetic Todd see an opportunity. Palin has become a media favorite for many reasons, her knowledge of the issues not being one of them.
Palin sees big bucks on the lecture circuit now, so why stay on as Governor of Alaska which would keep her isolated from the lower 48.
Palin's extreme conservatism and divisive style will eventually turn off moderates and independents leaving her with little support. Palin will get rich, but she will never get the nomination as the standard bearer for the GOP in 2012. |

I doubt the press in America could be more rightwing than the press in the UK:
Daily Mail - Populist far right
Daily Express - populist right
Sun - populist right
Telegraph - old school right
Times - Center Right
Star - Populist
Independant - Center
Guardian - Center Left
Mirror - Populist left

It has a corporatist bias, because corporations own it. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
