Glenn Beck is predicting a third party along those lines could win in 2012, given how many people are hopping mad and convinced that neither major party is looking out for them, but only for the special interests. I'm not yet convinced, but he may be onto something.

No guilt of life, no fear of death This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand |

I'll just have to keep my eyes open, then.

Of course, I know that you, Izdaari, are a longtime political activist and pay close attention to things. Speaking generally, however, this is the fact of the matter. There is no way for a new party to get going in time, while the Libertarian Party, although small, is established. It takes years and years to do just that, to just get on the ballot, for one thing. And when it comes to drawing from both the Democratic and the Republican base, you can't do better.
Anyway, for all who want to be involved, THIS IS THE TIME, not next summer when the election campaigns seem to be just getting going but, in reality, all the planning and organization has already been set in place. |

True, but that's why the two major parties do everything they can do to prevent such changes. We have to work around that or give up the fight--which I hope no one who cares about our country will do, no matter how much the deck is stacked. I agree with you. This was a major factor in my own change of parties. You can't imagine how cleansing or liberating that was! FWIW, simply giving up, voting "for the individual," or thinking of oneself as an "independent," doesn't do this.
Speaking of independents, though, it is interesting to see that the number of people saying they'll probably vote Republican next time has grown tremendously over the last year, BUT the number of people calling themselves Republican has shrunk. |

Let me make this clear though, I love America. |
