Sarah Palin resigning by 7/29/09

So, um, that.


Good for her. I'm sure being governor of Alaska does not pay enough to compensate for all the crap incessantly thrown her way. Now she can be a full-time activist, take full advantage of conservative capitalist recompense, and maybe even make some more direct use of her journalism degree. "Fox News contributor," anyone? Or maybe a whole new show: "Huck and Sarah -- Two Governors for the Price of One."

She will now be in a better position to respond to barbs like the insults aimed at Piper by David Letterman.

I think she's smart to resign and hope she and her family are very blessed by God.

Would have been good to finish the committment as governor...wondering if another shoe wil drop somewhere..

This is pretty selfless of Sarah Palin. Now her replacement can run as an incumbent next election rather than a challenger.

Perhaps she’s spending time with the fam before she runs for Pres in the next election...

...and it will certainly take her out of the mainstream media crosshairs in the meantime.

That's what many of the pundits are saying, however, she's not going to stop serving her country, she'll simply be doing so without the title of Governor.

I'd still vote for her....

This is pretty much an unprecedented move and no one knows for sure what her reasons are except perhaps those closest to her.

She may not have any desire to run for Pres at all and after the way the press has treated her and especially her family....I don't blame her even a little bit for stepping down.

I would like to see Sarah Palin run for President in 2012. To me, she is the best and strongest of the possible conservative candidates out there. In fact, the more the left-wing mainstream media hates on Palin, attacking her, the better I like her.

Governor Palin is not going away. She has plans for what to do next to help America.

I feel sorry for Sarah Palin. It is sad that she has to resign. But then again, maybe she is going to focus more on the 2012 presidential bid.
