smaller animals live shorter lives but their 'rate of living' is higher so it seems longer to them.
I can't argue with that one way or the other. I've never talked with any small animals about their conception of the flow of time. I did try once in my younger days, but uh, the attempt was only due to the use of some controlled substances.

This is silly, but I'll play.
Why did God create us so small?
Look at the earth. Look at the night sky. Look at the univese. We are really very tiny.
I really need to get a job. I must have way too much time on my hands.

you dont need to talk to them. just observe them. watch a fly cleaning its hands sometime.

did you read my original post before you responeded?
well besides the fact that you turned 'why did God make us so big' into 'why did God make us so small' there is the fact that I dont see anything silly about it at all. our lives would be much richer if we were smaller. how many people have died because they fell from some height. if we were smaller that would be impossible. how many people have died of hunger. if we were smaller we would require much less food. imagine how much more productive we would be if we could carry 100 times our own weight. poverty would be nonexistent.
Dear granpa. You had some quite funny replies. But God made us in His image==we are capable of doing good, or not good, we are in charge of looking after God`s world, And we are the right size to learn to become as God wants us to be, with God and with brothers and sisters. We are years on Earth to learn to love, selfless and without any strings attached. The 2 Commandments Jesus gave us, tell us to love God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind. He is our Heavenly Father, and He deserves to be worshipped and adored. We also have to learn to love our neighbour, i.e. all others, friends or foes, AS we love ourselves. Or put it more easy to understand and do, " treat all others as we would like to be treated." Jesus/the Holy Spirit, will help and guide us, and God will forgive us every time we fail, or forget. Jesus taught us to pray: Father forgive us, as we forgive others. If we were less capable, in size or strenght, how could we do God`s Will on Earth? I say this humbly and with love, granpa. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.
I guess this is a "problem of evil" question. Why didn't God make everything better? Why didn't God make everything perfect? Why didn't God make happy, safe robots in a safe robot world? IMHO, I can't conceive of any purpose in creating something like that. There'd be nothing real about it; no fear, no hope, no hate, no love. Nothing of any meaning, nothing of any importance. He might as well not create at all.
