Well I suppose that if she did that then it would definitely be justifiable to strongly dislike or even have contempt for her. Sarah Palin made one remark about Barack Obama's terrorist acquaintance, which the lapdog media was appalled by (How DARE she speak such facts?) but I don't recall her ranting about it for hours.
This video from just a month after she was nominated, she had stated that lie at three rallies by that point. Can you throw me a bone and at least admit that nothing she ever said was so stupid as revealing the location of a bunker that was built and kept secret for the purpose of protecting his life?
" Biden told his dinnermates about the existence of a secret bunker under the old U.S. Naval Observatory, which is now the home of the vice president."
The Vice Presidential SupperDupper Secret Bunker for if America is attacked is in his home?
As of the time of her nomination, she did not know what the VP does. Granted at this time, she considered herself to be a long shot for the nomination so it is understandable that she wouldn't have the job description memorized... but then she says it again just days before the election.
She didn't know what her job would be in August, she didn't know in late October, where we just going to trust that she knew by January 19 of 2009? |

Exactly. She lacks the knowledge any person that's slightly interested in American and international affairs does have. She might be a very bright person but doesn't show it. She might be a good vice president but definitely hasn't shown that.
This is all apart from her opinion on matters. I clearly don't agree with her on some issues, but that doesn't bother me that much.

Hate and dislike have two totally different meanings. When you hate someone you wish them ill and you celebrate their misfortune or if harm comes to them. I don't feel that way toward Palin and nor do a lot of people who object to her method of campaigning. You can dislike a person, parents and family included, and not hate them. |

Nobody here has been hoping that she gets assassinated, like many have been hoping will happen to Obama. Talk about hatred.
Other than that though, when you put yourself out in the public eye, you'd better expect people to be digging into what goes on in your life and that of your family. If she didn't want that, maybe she shouldn't have accepted the VP nomination. Maybe she should just stay out of national politics.

She was a nobody before the election, so why does she just KEEP...POPPING...UP? What is it about this woman that, even half a year after she ceased to be relevant in any way, she still has the power to captivate the news?

At a press conference where it was expected that she would not seek re-election, she stated that she intends to resign as governor (I created a thread about this, with a link, in the News forum). Seems like resigning a little more than halfway through her term would hurt her chances to become the Republican nominee for President.

Perhaps she's thinking that her day job was holding her back from the media exposure she'll need to be the front runner come 2012? Say, isn't 2012 when the "Mayan Prophesy" says the world is gonna end? |

I think her resigning as gov snuffs out any ideas of running for pres. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
