"No matter how "right" you may be on various points, you must be diplomatic also. The first and important thing is not "rightness" at all, but Christian love and harmony. Most "crazy converts" have been "right" in the criticisms that led to their downfall; but they were lacking in Christian love and charity and so went off the deep end, needlessly alienating people around them and finally finding themselves all alone in their rightness and self-righteousness. Don't you follow them!..."

"Personal opinions have no role in ministry of any kind. When we represent the Church, then we ought only say and do what the Church has asked us to do. All else is wasted energy and an opportunity for sin. It is when we lapse into personal opinions, even when we dress them in the language of the Church, that conflict will arise."

I hope you find peace and open your heart to the possibility of change .
Ive been around the East long enough to know of some of the problems that there are.

The Nicene Creed
I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all that is seen and unseen. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father. Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father through Him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, He suffered and was buried;
On the the third day, He rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures ; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father;
He will come again in glory to judge the living and dead. And His kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father, with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, He has spoken through the prophets. I believe In one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.
I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Amen. If a thing ain't broke DON'T fix it ! To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
It seems that forgiveness only goes as far as being aligned with a patriarchate here. At least I understand the form of this forum now.
Forgive me for not being in a synod that is in agreement with a patriarchate. I will decline from posting in your patriarchal forum.
I would rather have discussed things with you all. But your coin is one sided. Which doesn't mean I am against you. Just wanted to let you all know.
Peace be with you all.
You are more than welcome here. It is only when you begin arguing/debating/teaching that static begins.
I hope you stick around for fellowship. But if you decide to exclude yourself, then... peace be with you as well.

I second that notion

Teke, if you really are sorry and feel you need forgiveness for being where you are, then by all means, ask forgiveness for that, but you're talking to the wrong people. Otherwise, please don't misues the word. I am not going to ask you forgiveness for believing what i do about ROAC (not about YOU as an individual), but only for any uncharitable or unnecessary way in which I expressed my thought. Similarly, it makes no sense for you to ask forgiveness for something you do not see as wrong.
Look, most of us here have our concerns about the synod you belong to. I remember when you came here along time ago asking about a married bishop. I felt so much for you. How were you to know, and why in the world should you take the word of a bunch of hoo-ha's from silly hot-headed forum like TAW. Seriously, why? There's not good reason. So, all we can do really is pray for you and those over you and honestly I do. Are you Orthodox in Mind and Spirit? I have no reason to doubt that and surely in many ways you are moreso. And I think many here would venture to say something similar. So please understand that our concern is not a personal judgment on you. I believe that you are probably totally innocent in this whole mess. I should say, I have no reason to believe otherwise.
God's will is mysterious and I am not going to tell yuou where you shold be. Am I gravely concerned? Yes. But perhaps thsi is what God's plan is for you now and perhaps for the rest of your life. And maybe it's not. that's for you to discern in serious prayer and I don't believe that a silly forum like this will be of much help.
God bless sister in Christ and honestly, forgive me if I have made you feel judged. It was not my intention, but it doesn't mean my words were justified.
