From what ive rad, though im darned if it was in maccagees or whatever, the ARK was buried under jerusalems mount Moria...when the city was about to be destroyed by some conqueror or other???
The prophet of the day took it outside the walls with some bearers of the priesthood, and they put it in a cave or chamber under the mountain...and heres the kicker they way god moves...
They were supposed to mark the way, but for some reason no one of them was able to remember the way back....
thus it was lost to us....
have any of you heard the guy who says it was under the cross when jesus was crucified nd his blood was dripped onto the mercy seat at the tim...
The ark was underground and the earthquake allowed the blood to run down a crack?
says hes found the place under Golgotha and the holes the three crosses were stood up in, as well as a crack down into a chamber below..
he aparently really did spend a great deal of time tunnelling under jerusalem.....
