You can't tell a young earth creationist that the earth is older than 6-10 thousand years old. Nor can you tell them animals change over time. Yes, even humans... and we can show this today. Some of the YEC will even say the bible and science are completely compatible, yet they throw out every discovery that is contradictory to their beliefs.
The problem deal with the result of sin, with death starting to happen, and theistic evolutionists believe death has been going on before humans were ever around.
Several years to come I believe the majority (though I don't know the numbers as of today) will become theistic evolutionists b/c evolution is what is being taught in school... and rightfully so since much of the evidence points towards it.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know what the numbers are. Personally, I respect one who is a YEC. Just I don't respect them when they say it's completely compatible with science. Like websites such as AiG. They disregard anything and everything that is contradictory to their belief... and then they will cling onto anything that somewhat supports their beliefs.
Just my 2 cents. |
