Sorry to hear that NM.....It is usually best to highlight and copy the post before you try to post it.

Saint and Martyr William Tyndale (1494-1536)
LLOJ's Patron Saint

I defy the Pope and all his laws. If God spare my life ere many years, I will cause the boy that drives the plow to know more of the scriptures than you!

William Tyndale cried out "Lord, open the King of Englands eyes"

2 kings 6:17 And 'Eliysha` is praying and saying "YHWH, open! please! his eyes and he shall see"

Or not.

I almost always do that. This is the one time I did not - and got burned. I didn't expect it to be closed when there were still so many "slots" left to fill and almost nobody was in the thread all day. It didn't occur to me that the last 10 slots would be filled within a few minutes and then closed. Such is life. My fault.

You forgot the final line.... Christianity is not an intellectual system,
a collection of dogmas, or a moralism.

Guilty as charged..
I gave a warning post for this very reason - but then since I saw no one in the thread [no names] i figured it was empty and that would be a good time to close it.

I submitted the warning when i saw 3 names, and then no one was in there. SO i closed it hoping no one would lose their work.

That refers to SHEBNA who was being removed from his office by the Lord...for his PERSONAL unfaithfulness. The text says nothing about eliminating the OFFICE of the chief steward.

Newman says it was a certain man...[he is probably correct]

I feel it means He was referring to the Judiac Laws and the Jewish priesthood ending.

ETA - there is always two things the scriptures refer to - both the present for their time, and the future prophetically.
I could be wrong - but i feel the secure peg was the Jewish Tribes and being authority of scriptures...and in that day - usually means when Chirst comes [to establish the Church.]

But I was there - I don't know why it would show that I was not. That's weird. In any case, I would not have seen the warning since I was composing my post and you closed it minutes after the warning. But it was still my fault for not copying it first. My bad. I am sure I would have done the same thing as you if I didn't see any names.
