When I try to share The Truth, they refuse to listen and they try to discourage me on doing things that pleases God. I continued to believe that salvation is drawing closer to them as time progresses.
How do I deal with this situation while continuing to believe they are gonna get saved in Christ?

Don't listen to them and live a christian life. You should become the ideal Christian around your family, so that God can speak through your actions. If they can see what good it does for you they might consider changing their opinion about it. What do your parents believe in anyway?
I'll pray for you so that you may help others to save themselves. |

I thought about your post a little bit before pressing 'reply'. Before saying anything else, I want to praise you for your courage. I find it so hard to be a Christian in this evil society, even though I come from a religious family. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like for you to keep your faith, being the only christian in your family. & for this - I have a great amount of respect for you.
Like other have mentioned - your best bet is showing the power of Christianity through your actions, not words. Do NOT let their lack of faith get to you. Ignore them, & continue living a Christian lifestyle.
We may not be blood related, but here at CF you will ALWAYS have a supportive 'family'! |

How to deal with this kind of situation where your entire family is against you for having good relationship with God?

Do you have Christian friends to support you?? Do you attend a church where you have a "family" of like minded believers to support you?? It's important to have someone in your corner when you are facing obstacles like you are with your family.
Your job is to pray for them.. plant a few seeds.. and ask the Holy Spirit to show them the Truth..

Reps: 158,922,038 (power: 158,925) | | I understand what you mean, conman. I think I have got just the bible passages.
[bible] “Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man’s foes will be those of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn’t worthy of me. He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me, isn’t worthy of me. He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it. Matthew 10:34-39 (World English Bible) [/bible]
[bible] “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise: “that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”
Ephesians 6:2-3 (World English Bible) [/bible]
[bible] When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment; John 16:8 (World English Bible) [/bible]
It will take time for the holy spirit to fully enter their hearts. But in the mean time, PUSH! (that is Pray Until Something Happens!) Hope that helped!

Conman,
I am praying for you. I admire your courage, I have a friend who was a former Muslim and now is a Christian. Her mother turned from her and refused to go to her wedding, her sister and brother gave her a hard time because of her decision- and she converted a while after she moved out of the house.
I don't know what advice I can give you, other then what has been said already- seek out other Christians, find a church, keep praying and allow others to be there for you.
God bless you, please keep us updated on how things are going. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
