1Whirl Wind....Angels are distinct From Human Beings....Psalms 8:4-5
Psalms 8:4-5 What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that Thou visitest him? For Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, And hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Man is distinct from them in that we are presently in our flesh body...they are not. They have either not yet been born into flesh or have passed on and shed their flesh shell. We are lower than them as we age, get sick, die...they do not.
They were created before the creation of the world Job 38:6-7
Yes...we were!
The State of their creation was in Holiness Jude 6
I don't see that verse as having anything to do with holiness. Rather it is about the angels that "left their own habitation," came to earth, mingled with daughters of Adam and that union produced giants...the cause of the flood of Noah.

Thank you Dave for the verses but they in no way show we are not the same beings. The difference is our angelic body wears flesh in this physical life.

The soul iin scripture... is your senses... touch, sight, feel, hearing, smelling
The spirit is ones intelliect.... where God indwells once a person believes
The body.. Flesh is where the Old Sin Nature dwells
According to Gal 5... the flesh and spirit are waring for what.... our soul
and when the flesh wins... it hurts the soul... 1 peter 2:11
the soul must decide but it is last part saved 1 pt 1:9
Heb 4.... bone and marrow are similar but very different and God can tell one starts and stops
Our spirit cannot be where our intellect resides because unbelievers are spiritually dead. It would mean unbelievers are unable to think at all if what you say is true.
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “ Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you. Prov.23:7
The heart is a euphmism referring to the thinking part of our soul.
The essence of the soul contains:
1. Intellect or mentality (the thinking part which includes reason, creative thought, problem solving etc)
2. Emotion
3. Conscience (norms and standards)
4. Awareness
5. Self-consciousness
6. Volition (will)
Our human spirit is the component that enables us to understand the things of God (spiritual truth). The unbeliever doesn't have a human spirit because he/she has not been born again (the Spirit gives birth to spirit). This is why the things of the Lord are foolishness to them.
It's like talking to them in a foreign language without a translator. The human spirit acts like a translator of spiritual truth to the soul.
Hebrews 12:22-23 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels. To the general assembly and church of the firstborn which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.
Hebrews 1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
Angels are spirits and they are the "spirits of just men made perfect." These spirits, angels, are the "innumerable company," the "general assembly," the "church of the firstborn."

peace
Man has spirit whether they are saved or not
the soul gets thrown arounded by different doctrines because the spirit is not taught or blinded
the soul gets thrown arounded by different doctrines because the spirit is not taught or blinded
You will need to do better than that to convince me.
We're not talking about the use of the word spirit as in the sense of a general type of existence. We are talking about the human spirit.
Spirit gives birth to spirit. Last time I looked, giving birth (physically) required an intimate communion. Spiritual birth is no different inasmuch it requires the Lord to have intimate communion with us. That cannot and will not happen to those who are unrighteous. (which is all of us at birth because of the sin nature)
The soul does get thrown around as you say. In unbelievers it is because there is no spirit to be taught. If it were not for the mercy and grace of God none of us would believe. None of us would have a clue that God even existed.
In believers it is because they are unwilling to believe what is taught (I'm speaking in terms of truth being taught, there is always false teaching out there as well). When this happens they are no longer living on the basis of grace and controlled by the Spirit of Life (we cannot learn apart from grace). When that happens, we need to humble ourselves and confess our sin.
