| No tongues or spiritual baptism nescessary for God In response to a Tongues for salvation - type article in the Theology forums that I can't post in yet.
I think it's not nescessary. As is penteostal theology. (Providing no evidence here, just being quick) It feels pushy, and it feels like the theology was written with very different highlights to the Bible. Important is being close to God, and just go through the Psalms abotu the Bible! Church growth = ugh! not again! And the once a year "you should probably all read the Bible everyday. how about you start with one mintue, and maybe next year 2 minutes per day!"
lol sorry for over-sarcasm. Read it with a fun-tone?
Tongues - maybe everyone can! I was so against it, but now I do. I also have NEVER had a salvation "moment" let alone a secondary "spiritual baptism". It's nice to describe big changes in life, and to really emphasie the importance of have a heart or attitude change. But this does not mean these things are now gospel or form importance over many other things the Bible says are important. |
