And pc....thank you. It looks my part is fairly minimal, at least so far. There was lots of people there, Aunts, Uncles, friends, whatever, when I checked yesterday before work. I was able to calm the children very quickly, praise God, 'tis the anointing, the presence of God, and I drove the mom's van back to the house.
I have a lot of questions about this. The mom seems very sweet. She can't speak English so I haven't gotten to know her. She was pulled over for running a stop sign. That's all I know.
I am focusing on rejoicing in the Lord this morning. I have done my best to be a blessing. I laid aside my own time with the Lord, cut it short anyway this morning, to make breakfast for my family before church. I used words of kindness, tried to do everything right. I was peaceful and full of God. I asked hubby one question, not an instigating one mind you, but a valid one, and he got ticked off. I tried to make peace. There's nothing I can do.
The Lord says, "Forgive. Even 7 x 70." Yes, it happens, too often imo, and should it happen again I will forgive. Now to let it go...... I'm moving on. I will praise the Lord! I will bless the Lord! I will love my husband and do him good all my days. The Lord will give me wisdom, for all the treasures of wisdom are in Christ.
I trust the Lord will strengthen me to turn around and go back to work again this morning after a very long day yesterday. I had joy and strength to run a marathon all day. He did amazingly equip me. Today is very full too, and don't know what more the neighboring family will need. I have a house guest for 4 days, keeping a friend's daughter for her. God is my helper. I thank Him for opportunities and strength to give my life to serve Him by serving others. This is my worship to Him. I worship Him with my life as well as with my words. I consecrate all my ways to Him. This time, this place here on earth, is the only time I have to serve Him this way. There's no devil in heaven to face, no souls to win, no needy people there. It's here where He needs me. I will make it count.

Rid me of myself... Ephesians 4:22 Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion;
23 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], 24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.
ohhhhhh soooooooo beautiful. God bless you. (((((((hug))))))

It's not even "too much Old Testament", in the Old Testament God is compassionate, shows mercy, is patient and long-suffering. Consider the lesson we learn from Jonah, or the word delivered to Ezekiel that God does not desire the death of the wicked, that God takes no pleasure or joy in the destruction of the wicked by desires that that the wicked repent and change their ways so they might live and have life. God has always been a merciful, compassionate, kind and patient God who has no desire for the destruction of the wicked, who has loving-kindness for the sinner and for the wicked person to change their ways and truly live and have life. -CryptoLutheran |
